Rysar made his way through the village. The sun was just starting to light up the sleepy village, he had to move fast. He didn't know why his master chose to do this. Really, what self respecting demon would demean themselves to such levels by saving humans?...Orders are orders, who was he to question?
The priestess had not been at the larger hut, she must be with the child and old priestess. He quietly made his way to the smaller hut. Smoke rose from it, signaling someone was within. Rysar smiled- if a dragon leer could be called a smile. Almost time...
A cry of alarm rose from the opposite side of the village. People started running in that direction while Rysar stood in the shadows. He saw the two tail rise from a hut a distance off, bearing the two slayers. Rustling movement came from within the hut beside him. Excellent.
Rysar brought out a net his master had enchanted- doubling the strength of the enchantment so no mistakes were made this time, that and for the priestess. Rumor was, she was powerful. 'Just as a precaution.' His master had said.
'We will use them as bait. Draw the mongrels to us and kill the humans before their very eyes. I will break them! My son will be avenged! Bring them to their very knees! They shall know the pain and grief of losing everything before I rip them to shreds!'
Rysar shuddered. He was glad he was not on the receiving end of his master's wrath. And, as long as all went well this morning, he would remain that way.
The priestess finally stepped outside, bow in hand. Quickly, before she had a chance to draw an arrow, he threw the enchanted net over her head. She dropped, the bow and quiver falling from her grasp and unable to move. Good. Quickly, he entered the dwelling after pulling the priestess into the shadow of the hut and hiding her weapons.
First, he made for the old priestess, old and frail, but the hag supposedly still retained some power. Scrambling quick as a flash, he appeared beside her. He backhanded her, sending her flying. She landed with a thud, bashing her head on the floor. She remained where she landed, unconscious or dead, it mattered little. Rysar turned to the girl.
She was cowering in a corner. As he stepped closer, the child had the audacity to pull a dagger on him and stand her ground. Humans are ridiculous, even tiny ones it seemed. Though they knew they stood no chance, their pride- perhaps the one strength they possessed -made them refuse to give up, holding out until the bitter end.
"Don't come near me!" The child's voice cracked. Her fear was showing...Ryzar could see the yellow glow of fear surrounding her, that was fear as his people saw it. And fed off it, consuming their fear. They could literally feed for weeks off of prideful humans, too stubborn to die...and Ryzar hadn't fed in a month. He smiled a menacing fanged toothed grin, inhaling the scent of her fear deeply. He took a step toward the girl then stopped himself. Dammit though, there was no time to waste. He pulled out another net as she started to scream. He plopped it over her head, she dropped, her scream cut off.
Moving fast, he gathered the girl up. Running back outside, he muscled the priestess over his shoulder beside the girl. He took off on foot so as not to draw attention to himself. His mount awaited him just outside the opposite end of the village from where his distraction ensued. He knew he was bound to lose a few soldiers, fighting the slayers and the monk. He could already smell their blood. Damned shame...he had known his warriors for centuries.

Sango fought beside her brother, Miroku, and surprisingly, Jaken. Kirara beneath her, she hollered to Miroku above the racket. "Miroku! I'm getting worried, where is Kagome?" She could not send Shippo to check- he was currently inside the hut they protected with her children.
The dragons concentrated on this end of the village. Flames engulfed many huts as people scrambled to get away. The dragons could have made easy work of the villagers, but instead they focused on destruction. Something was not right...like it was...
       "A distraction! Miroku!"
"Oh no! Kagome! We have to wrap this up, Sango!"
The menacing sound of a dragon's roar was heard. Then, as quickly as they had arrived, the dragons took to the sky.
"Kohaku! Follow them on Kirara, not too close though. They may have Rin and Kagome. We have to know where they are headed, and be careful. Come on, Miroku, we have to check Kaede's. I've got a really bad feeling about this."
