One Week - Luke Hemmings

Chapter 2

"Nobody's home til late" Skylar says letting her bag fall near her. "My parents are at some romantic dinner shit"

"Nice"

For one hour we've been talking about all the Andrew stuff and all the cute things he said to her. There are so many, it's obvious that he likes her, but it seems that she's the only one that doesn't understand that.

"Oh my God!" Skylar starts yelling suddenly. "I haven't showed you this band, right? Of course I didn't. " she says very fast.

"You know I'm not really into bands like this, I'm more into punk rock"

"Well yeah but they are kind of punk rock, they're really good, give them a chance". Sky seems very excited when she's talking about them, so maybe I should try listening some of their music. After all, they can't be SO BAD.
I nod and Skylar starts typing some Amnesiac summer or something like this. After she picks a video, some guitars start playing.

"What do you think?" she asks me when the video finishes.

"I don't really see how's that punk rock, especially that blonde guy that started crying in the middle of the song"

Skylar starts laughing. "He's kind of attractive though, right?"

"The Chinese one is more badass, I like his tattoos" I say avoiding to talk about the blonde one.

"Oh, he's my favorite. His name is Calum, and he's not Chinese. That one is Mike" she says pointing out a guy with colorful hair, "the drummer's name is Ashton and the lead singer is Luke".

"Cool" I mumble and then I change the subject.
All we've done the past 5 hours, since we arrived at Skylar's house was eating junk food, watching movies and listening to this Australian band that she showed me.

"Sky, it's one in the morning. Let's go to sleep" I say being almost asleep.

"What? No, let's stay all the night up"

"We have one more night to do this, plus the whole week when I'm quite forced to stay with you. So, let's sleep" I say laughing a little

"You're boring" she replies with a silly face.

The next day wasn't that special at all, we went shopping and, as usual, Skylar bought almost all the stores. But now, the difference is that she forced me to boy some things, so I bought more clothes than usual. After, we've been to the park and we hung around.

Now it's 9 p.m. and we're going to watch a movie and then go to sleep, because we both are really tired after this busy day, and tomorrow we have to be at the airport by 4 a.m.

"WAKE UP IRENE!" I hear Skylar screaming

"What?!" I mumble. I think I fell asleep while we were watching a shitty movie with a name that I can't remember.

"It's 3" she says in a complete hurry. "We have to catch the flight. Dress up quickly".

I see her throwing my clothes right in my face and she starts to dress up.

After half an hour, Skylar's dad helps us with our baggages and starts driving very fast to reach the airport on time. On our way, he has a whole speech about how we should be careful because we are in a foreign country. Me and Skylar nod at every pause he makes, to seem like we really pay attention at what he says.

"Be careful, girls" Sky's dad says when we finally arrive.

"We will. Goodbye dad" Sky says

"Goodbye Mr. J" I mumble looking at the my watch. "Sky, hurry up, we have only 10 minutes left for boarding" I yell while Skylar's dad gets away.

"Shit!" she swears while she starts running.
After 2 minutes of running, we arrive at the check in stall. Everything goes fine and we go looking for our group.

"Over here" I hear a known voice. It is Andrew and the other guys from the trip.

"I don't know half of the people who are here" I tell them when me and Skylar got near them.

"I don't know more" I hear James laughing.

"C'mon, it's time to go" Skylar tells the boys. For the last hour, we were walking through the airport and checking every store we saw. We get into the plane and we sit down on our places. I hurry at the window seat while Skylar take the other seat, and the boys are standing right in front of us. I put my headphones in my ears and start the music. I don't really get along with flying, so I prefer to have something to distract me. The airplane starts its engine and in less than one minute it takes-off.

"Wake up, Ri" Skylar says softly.

"What? I fell asleep? For how long? I mumble disorientated.

"I don't know, like 4-5 hours"

"What?! Oh my God.."

"It's okay, only 10 hours to go" Skylar laughs.

"Oh, then why did you wake me up?"

"Everybody fell asleep and I was bored, so let's do something" she jumpes in her seat.

"Like what?" I ask her raising my eyebrow. "It's not like we can't talk about everything because someone could hear us or like we haven't a lot of space right here"

"Don't be such a negativist. We can do a lot of things right here. Let's watch a movie from my laptop" she says while she was starting her laptop.

For the rest of those 10 hours, all we did was sleeping and watching movies, and maybe have little talks.

"Ready for the landing?" Skylar asks me laughing.

"Always" I smile knowing that I'm lying.

Sorry guys this is so short, but today I will try to double update and that's why this is so short. I hope it's quite ok, because this is just a introduction for what's going to be in the next chapter, and I'm very excited for it.
