que sera, sera - what will be, will be
"yo."
"evening."
with an unfortunate spill from her lips, honda ended up revealing to hanajima and uotani that she was living in shigure's house. it was the day of the festival that they decided to come over. since there was a holiday the next day, they deemed tonight to be the perfect opportunity.
while hanajima and uotani stood by the open door, everyone else stood in front of them. shigure raised a hand up, happily greeting them with a grin.
"please come in and make yourselves comfortable," shigure turned around and the others followed.
while the sohmas gathered in the living room, kyo was the one to ask the question the teens had been wondering. "hey, are you sure about this? word around the school is that you shouldn't underestimate wave girl."
"que sera, sera. this'll work out fine. don't be so such a worry-wart."
yuki deadpanned, "so in other words, you haven't given it much thought."
"it's suspicious if we're huddled like this," minako pointed out.
and as if hanajima sensed it, she suddenly said, "dog." the group jumped in their spots while she continued, "behind you."
there was a dog on the patio indeed. shigure stood straight and coughed before dismissing the animal. he shut the sliding doors to make sure it wouldn't get inside.
everyone sat down in front of the table. honda came out with cups and some tea. minako took the chance to help the brown-haired girl out.
"so, old man- i mean shigure, what do you do for a living?" uotani interrogated.
"oh, me? i write. in fact, i'm a novelist," the man revealed. he seemed to completely ignore the fact that uotani was calling him old.
honda, who was never told that, jumped back in shock. in turn, uotani was surprised. for someone living with shigure, honda didn't have a clue that he worked with literature.
