Gift Ceremony

I own nothing but Cassandra and any other new characters.

"This is all just happening way too fast!" I complain to Camillo. "Just yesterday I had no idea I was related to any of you."

"It must be stressful. I mean they're throwing all this responsibility on you and you just joined the family."

"Cassandra!" We hear Abuela calling.

We run out of our hiding spot and find her in the patio central.

"Cassandra, I have suprise for you!" She holds out a petty dress. "This is your new dress for your ceremony! Come, come, let's get you dressed."

We walk up to her room and she helps me get it on.

Thank you for this new dress!" I say, twirling"

"Oh you look so cute! All the young boys will be fawning Over you! I'm so glad you came, Cassandra. You will be our redemption after Mirabel's ceremony."

"I'm sad she didn't get a gift. She deserved one she's so nice!"

"Oh you're so sweet! Come now people will be arriving soon."

I watch from upstairs while people arrive. They seem so happy but also. Super nervous. I was already nervous before Abuela said I'm the family's redemption. I walk downstairs as everyone is gathered in the patio central. Camillo and Dolores are there when I get there.

"You're going to do great!" Camillo says, "You are going to get an awesome gift just like you!"

"It's time." Dolores whispers. The two of them wave goodbye and walk into the patio.

The curtains bull back and the lights shine on me. I scan the crowds faces. Nervous, concerned, confused, mad, happy, and sad. There were mixes. I starts walking down the aisle and up the stairs, all the way to abuela. I reach up and touch the candle.

"Do you swear to do whatever it takes to help your Encanto?" I nod.

She moves away and pushed me toward the shining door. I slowly reach out and touch the door knob. The door begins to shine and I feel power flooding through my body. I open my hands and fire comes out of my left one as ice come out of my right one. The door glows brightly then shows me surrounded by the elements. I can control the elements! I quickly open the door and run inside. The room is filled with candles and they light as I walk in. A bed is in the center over a creek that's runs left to right through the middle of the never room. On one end on the river there's a mountain and on the other end you can see a beach on the edge of a sea. And in the far left in front of the mountain there's a small forest.

"This is amazing!" Camillo says coming up next to me.

"Sure is!" I look around in awe. "Come on let's explore!"

The two of us run off as the rest of them start the party. A couple kids our age join us and we all run to the beach. We play in the sand and splash in the water. We hear our parents calling so I use my powers to blow wind over us to dry us all off.  We run along the creek and back to the party. Camillo and I dance with his dad then Tío Felix gets Abuela to dance. I laugh and Aunt Julietta dances with me. We all party for a long time. It's super late at night when the last people leave. I hug my new family and close the door as I prepare for my first night in my new room.
