Skylar and Eyeball

Oceane was laying flat on her back on the bed, staring up at the dented ceiling.

"Damn Ace really did a number on this place huh?" Connie asked as she looked around, sitting down beside her.

"How'd you know it was him?"

Connie forced a laugh. "I know the result of a Merrill temper tantrum when I see one."

Oceane tried to laugh but sighed instead. "You think I was too harsh on him?"

Connie scoffed and shook her head. "Hell no! You're his fiancée, boss, and everything in between!" She exclaimed as she reached forward and grabbed Oceane's hands.

"The guy needs to be put in place every now and again and as the future Mrs Merrill, I'd say there's no-one better for the job than you."

Oceane sat up slowly as she gave Connie a smile.

"I'll leave you to relax now." Connie said as she gave her a hug and stood up.

She gave her one last smile before she head out, gently shutting the door behind her.

Oceane flopped back on the bed as she let out a sigh. Had she been too hard on Ace? He had changed so much since they left Castle Rock the last time but now she was just scared being back here was just causing him to slip back.

She got up and walked into the bathroom, taking three painkillers she went back to lie down on the bed as she shut her eyes, praying it would give her some peace.

"You ain't the same old Ace Merrill you know?" Eyeball said quietly as he walked over to Ace sat on one of the man broken cars he had in his back yard.

Ace scoffed but didn't look up. "You wanna tell that to my future wife?" He snapped sarcastically.

"She was just pissed off. You and I both know she didn't mean it."

Ace scoffed again. "Sure sounded like she did."

"Ace-"

"But she's right you know?" Ace quickly added. "I could have spent the morning looking for my fucking son!" Ace snapped as he glared at Eyeball.

"But no, I break into some fuckers house and get in a fight with him!"

Eyeball was silent as he let Ace rant.

"What kind of fucking dad does that make me?!" He continued to shout. "A fucking shit one that's what! I put my own thoughts and ideas ahead of my own fucking child!"

"Just fuck off and leave me alone." Ace finally finished as he leant back and looked back down at his lap.

Eyeball stood there, he knew Ace was in pain and even though he had been told to fuck off, Eyeball Chambers rarely did as he was told.

Taking a deep breath he climbed up onto the car and sat down beside Ace.

"I told you to fuck off." Ace snapped, not even looking up at him.

Eyeball shrugged slightly as he leant back not saying a word. He heard Ace's small sigh as the pair sat in silence, staring up at the old house.

"And you're sure you're good?" Marco asked the cobras again.

"Yes! We got it!" Charlie almost snapped, suddenly beginning to feel like now these guys were back, they were useless. Which compared to Oceane's old squad, they were.

Her old team gave each other a small nod as they all slowly left the house. Each had their own sheet of paper and task to complete.
