Oceane lay in bed staring up at the ceiling. Ace was fast asleep next to her, his arm loosely draped over her waist as his soft snores and mumbles reminded her she wasn't alone.Yet her eyes drifted down to the bag where she'd shoved the wedding responses and she knew she was.
She was the only who knew about the threat.
The wedding would go untouched as long as she gave whoever this was a reasonable offer.
Apparently her and Ace had taken something. They had given her AJ and Connie back but now they wanted something back in return.
*****
Oceane woke up in a panic as Ace quickly latched onto her, holding her still.
"Hey hey baby it's okay." He said quickly as he felt her cling to him. "You're okay, you're okay." He said over and over as he gently lay them back down.
"Ace I-" She stopped herself.
She couldn't tell him. He would be fuming to know she had kept it quiet from him. They were supposed to tell each other everything.
"What's wrong?" He pushed, he knew something wasn't right with her.
She was silent as she shook her head. "Never mind." She mumbled as she gently snuggled into his chest.
His arms tightened around her. "You know you can tell me if somethings bothering you?" He asked as he rested his head on hers. "We're meant to be a team remember?"
Oceane nodded slowly as she refused to look up at him. "Bad dream that's all." She mumbled.
Ace didn't believe her. "Go back to sleep. I'm right here." He mumbled anyway.
Oceane nodded as she snuggled her head against him again. "Tell me a story."
A small smile came to Ace's face. Though he'd never admit it, he always loved having her ask that and being able to tell AJ the story over and over always made him feel good.
"Once upon a time there was a big party being held for the beautiful goddess Aphrodite..."

"Okay you two better be decent, I'm coming in!" Connie shouted her warning as she barged into Ace's room.
She saw them both laugh as Ace was stood half dressed by the window, while Oceane sat upright in the bed, wearing one of Ace's old shirts.
"You." She pointed over at Ace. "Out. It's her last day of freedom and Lord help us, she isn't spending it with you."
Ace pulled a shocked face as Oceane laughed. She watched as her best friend walked over to him and began half dragging, half pushing Ace outside.
He tried to fight it but Eyeball soon appeared in the doorway.
"You." He pointed down at Oceane, who was still laughing. "It's his last day of freedom and Lord help us, he ain't spending it with you."
Oceane laughed as Eyeball quickly helped Connie drag Ace out the room. Connie quickly shut the door and raced over to the bed, jumping and landing on the end.
Yet before she could talk, the door opened again as Eyeball quickly pretended to sneak in.
"He kinda needs a shirt." He mumbled as he grabbed one from the wardrobe and disappeared again.
The girls both laughed as Connie reached her hands out to Oceane's.
"You need to get dressed. Your carriage awaits."
"Carriage?" Oceane laughed out.
Connie smirked and nodded. "Your carriage."
Oceane laughed as Connie squealed with excitement as she jumped off the bed and quickly left the room.
*****
"Wanna tell me where we're going?" Ace asked as he was led blindfolded down the street.
Eyeball laughed and shook his head. "Trust me brother."
Ace scoffed. "That is a sentence that worries me when you say it."
Eyeball just laughed as he continued to lead Ace along.
*****
"Ma'am." Hugo said with a smile as Oceane walked out the house.
He opened the car door as Connie gently nudged her along. Two cars of her old agents were ready to go.
Oceane beamed as she happily skipped over and went to them, climbing in the car.
*****
"Welcome home buddy." Eyeball said as he removed the blindfold and Ace looked around.
Irbys.
He laughed as he saw his cobras standing by their old pool tables. Turning to Eyeball he gave him a cocky smile.
"You're the best dickhead there is you know that right?"
Eyeball shrugged and grinned. "It's an easier job than mine."
Ace laughed as the pair walked over to their tables. Charlie handed Ace a cue as he looked down at the tables.
"Let's fucking play." He said as they all cheered and happily fell into what felt like yesterday.
*****
"Pancakes with strawberries ma'am." Skylar said with a smile as he placed Oceane's plate down in front of her at the diner.
She gave him a smile as he stepped back. Turning to Connie as they both dug into their breakfast.
"Okay so what's the plan for today?" Oceane asked as she ate another strawberry.
"Your dad's enjoying a day with his grandson so we are doing breakfast, shopping, lunch, more shopping then home for a girls night before some random day tomorrow." Connie answered with a smile.
Oceane laughed as both girls raised their glasses and clinked them together.
"Sounds like a perfect day to me." She said as they both took a sip and continued with breakfast.
*****
"Hey Ace did say he liked lace!" Connie said as she held it up.
Oceane reached out and smacked her hand. "Jesus Connie, there's lace then there's practically nothing!" She exclaimed quietly as she looked about the shop but her agents were all busy talking amongst themselves.
"Anyway aren't you supposed to be catholic?" She questioned. "Not knowing all about this?" She gestured down to the underwear in Connie's hand that covered absolutely nothing.
Connie shrugged. "I'm catholic but I've seen movies." She mumbled as she held it up.
"Hey Guys! Do you think Ace would like this on Oceane?!"
Oceane's face went a bright shade of red as all the agents seemed desperate to look anywhere but the girls.
"Oh I hate you so much!" Oceane mumbled as she buried her head in her hands.
Connie laughed and shook her head. "I love you too."
Oceane shoved her slightly as the girls continued to shop.
