Chapter 3 - Does he deserve it?

Wei Ying sat up from the bed and looked at the child's parent who is sleeping on the other side of the room while he sleeps together with Wei Fan. When he realize that they are asleep, he quitely slipped out of the room and went to the garden. There is a large pond on thw garden and he sat down on the rock near it. He picked some pebbles and throw it to the pond.

He was so confused about what is happening, Baoshan Sanren's words bothered him the most. They are waiting for him to come back? He's here because of the child's dying wish but he didn't expect to see his mother and father when he opened his eyes.

"Do you have trouble in sleeping?" Wei Ying stiffened and turned around to see Baoshan Sanren walking towards him. Wei Ying stood up and saluted before smiling.

"Grandma!" Wei Ying said and went to Baoshan Sanren's side before hugging her leg. After doing that he stiffened and looked at Baoshan Sanren who is smiling at him. Wait, why is he acting like Ah Yuan?

Ah Yuan...

That child... how was he?

"RICH GEGE!" Ah Yuan called and run towards Lan Zhan who smiled a little when he saw the child. He picked up the child and at his head. Wei Ying smiled at the gesture of his dear friend and confidant, Lan Zhan. He was happy that despite Lan Qiren's constant warning, this person still come to him to ask how he is and the Wen remnants.

"Wei Ying..." Lan Zhan called and went to him. Wei Ying give him a playful smile.

"Aiyah, Lan Zhan! You grace us again with your presence. What did you bring for us this time?" Wei Ying happily asked. He was expecting that he will give him some Tianzi Xiao(Emperor's smile) whom he loves. But instead Lan Zhan pulled out two sacks of Radish. Wei Ying was so surprised to see vegetable he dislikes but still eat. "Lan Zhan, are you serious?"

"Is this not enough?" Wei Ying looked at Lan Zhan who was looking at him innocently. Wei Ying give him a awkward smile and do a thumbs up.

"No. You're the best, Lan Zhan." Wei Ying sighed and called for Wen Ning. Lan Zhan looked at Ah Yuan who is looking curiously at the sack of radishes. From Lan Zhan's Qiakun Pouch, he pulled out a grass butterfly that was being sold out of Burial Mounds. Ah Yuan is fond of toys and doesn't have much friends to play with. Ah Yuan's eyes sparkled and hugged Lan Zhan's leg. Wei Ying laughs and pats Ah Yuan's head.

"Ah Yuan, you always hugged someone's leg when they give you food or toys, you cheeky child!" Wei Ying said and pinched Ah Yuan's cheeks before he looked at Lan Zhan who is looking at them without expression but there is warmth in his eyes. He looked away while he feels his face heat up. Lan Zhan looks so handsome....

"Ah Ying, why are you still awake?" Baoshan Sanren asked and picked Wei Ying up and sat down the rock that Wei Ying was sitting earlier.

"Ah Ying can't sleep," Wei Ying said. Baoshan Sanren smiled and pat his head.

"Is Ah ying thinking about something?" Wei Ying looked down and shakes his head and buried his face to Baoshan Sanren's shoulder. He felt a warmth in his head because of Baoshan Sanren's gesture. Wei Ying missed someone hugging him like this even though the child'a mother, father and sister hugged him often. "Ah Ying, your mother and father was soo happy to have you back. Don't worry, my dear. Just make your parents and sister happy. Eat well, and sleep well."

"Mn." Well, he'll just think about it some other time. Baoshan Sanren took him in front of the room and ask him to go inside the room which Wei Ying comply. Before he even go to the bed he stopped when he heard something familiar.

Wei ying... where are you?

"Lan Zhan?" Wei Ying called but he never heard a reply. He heard Lan Zhan's voice. His voice was so desperate as if he's really looking for him or he was just deluding himself since he just miss the man soo much even though he knew that Lan Zhan hates his heretic path he take. Would you love a man who use demonic cultivation like him? Wei Ying sighed and shakes his head. He then head to the bed and laid down with his now sister, Wei Fan. He will fullfil the child's wish and live with them even though he feels guilty assuming the child's life. But he then remembers a lot of things much more to his parent's faces. It was very clear to him now when he doesn't remember it before. All of his childhood memories he forgotten before suddenly came to him like a rushing water.

He hoped that he can do better acting since he doesn't have any memories of the child.

"Ah Ying, I made a bow for you! Didn't you like archery? We can practice together," Wei Changze said. Wei Ying blinked and looked at the bow he was holding. This Wei Changze is acting like his deceased father. He may be the reincarnated father of his because he looks so young! So, this person my be his father who has the same name and personality.

"Mn! Please teach me ah die!" Wei Ying said. They went to the practice range in Baoshan Tulong Sect. After an hour, because of the years of practicing his archery quality didn't decrease. Also, this child's grip and arm strength are good.

"Nice! You're doing great, Ah Ying! You've becoming more like me," Wei Changze said. Wei Fan came with Baoshan Feixuang(Cangse Sanren).

"Ah Ying, let me teach you the Baoshan Tulong Sect sword style. Ah Fan choose to be a disciple of Baoshan Tulong Sect. How about you? When you turned seven years old in the next few months, what sect you wanted to be a disciple of? So that we can write a recomendation," Baosahn Feixuang said. Wei Ying's eyes widened.

"Ah Niang, can Ah Ying  choose which sect where Ah Ying want to be?" Wei Ying asked. Baoshan Feixuang nodded at pats Wei Ying's head.

"Yes, you can or you can just stay then learn the other cultivation style in another clan. It's up to you. But I want you to stay here for a while! You're still a baby!" Baoshan FeiXuang said and hugged Wei Ying. Wei Fan nodded.

"Yes, Ah Ying should be here with us forever! So that I can take care of Ah Ying," Wei Fan said and hugged Wei Ying then Baoshan Feixuang smiled and hugged the two children. Wei Changze hugged his family in his arms. Wei Ying smiled and enjoyed the warmth of the family. It was soo nice to feel this way.
