Chapter 14: Because of Courtsey Name

The trio and the others are involve was ordered to kneel. Lan Qiren is annoyed because of what happen. Li Ying who was like a genius to him was involve in fighting and he was the one who started to fight.

"Young master Li, I expect some explanations from you. Why did you start the fight?" Wei Ying looked at Lan Qiren and saw the coldness in his eyes. Lan Xichen, looked at him confused and worried. Wei Ying thought that Lan Qiren won't listen to him so he kept his mouth shut.

Lan Xichen was waiting patiently for his answer but not Lan Qiren. The grandmaster sighed and shook his head. Why is this being stubborn?

"You're not going to answer? You know the rules of not fighting inside the cloud recesses!" Lan Qiren said firmly that made the other flinch but not Wei Ying. He was used to it before when he was young and he was used to Lan Qiren's tone when he was a teen. There is not much of a difference.

"Wen Yuan, Lan Jingyi, speak for yourself," Lan Xichen asked gently to the other two. Wen Yuan and Lan Jingyi looked at each other before glaring at the slightly older disciples. But before they opened their mouths, the disciples speak first.

"Li Ying is such a disrespectful student. He didn't do what we asked for him," said the slightly older disciple. Lan Qiren's eyes squinted.

"And what is that you asked for him to do?" Lan Xichen asked with a smile. Without making it sound that he was suspecting them. The slightly older disciple smirked when he looked at Wei Ying who just looking down.

"Wash the clothes and the bed covers." After saying this, the smile on Lan Xichen's face turned cold. Wash the clothes and bed covers? Can a 7-year old can do that hard chore? Is this slightly older disciples lose their minds? It was clearly bullying. "Sect Leader Lan, you should punish this disciple. Or much more, he should be kicked out from cloud recesses for being disrespectful."

"I'm afraid that can't happen," Lan Xichen said with a shook of his face. The slightly older disciples looked at them in disbelief.

"Can you tell us what happened?" Li Ying bowed down humbly.

"It's clearly my fault. Wen Yuan and Lan Jingyi has nothing to do with this." Li Ying said. Lan Xichen didn't know is this child like this. But then he remember a person like this who will stood up with his friend no matter what. Wei Wuxian.

"Is that so? Then are you ready to get punished?" Wei Ying nodded and still lower his head. Lan Xichen looked at his uncle who nodded to him. It seems like his uncle wanted for him to came up with a punishment for this little child. "Then go to the library and tell Hanguang Jun that you will serve your punishment for a month copying the rules and conduct. He will supervise you until you finished copying them. Hmm... 300 Copies will suffice."

"Understood." Wei Ying nodded and stood up. He saluted first before leaving. Wen Yuan looked at Li Ying's back sadly then he looked at Lan Xichen.

"Sect Leader Lan, may I say something?" Wen Yuan said. Lan Xichen smiled and gave him an encouraging nod.

"You may. What is it that you want to say?" Wen Yuan looked down before he bit his lips. Lan Xichen and Lan Qiren was waiting for the child to talk. Until Wen Yuan opened her lips to share.

"The three of us were talking and playing when those senior went to us. They were..." Wen Yuan looked down. Lan Qiren and Lan Xichen waited for him to continue. But because Lan Jingyi is a little impatient, he finished what Wen Yuan was talking about.

"Will Xiao Ying not be punished? It was my fault. But I really needed to do that because they are bad," Lan Jingyi said. Wen Yuan nodded.

"What Jingyi said was true. It was also my fault! Please don't punish Xiao Ying anymore," Wen Yuan added. Lan Xichen sighed and looked at the two.

"I already given a punishment and Li Ying already accepted them. Lan Wangji will not make the punishment too hard on him so rest assured." Lan jingyi and Wen Yuan looked down, clearly upset and guilty. "But next time that this happened, don't engage to this kind of fight. You know that this is forbidden in Cloud Recesses."
