我回来了。

"i'm back"

alright, alright.

you want answers, and I'll give them to you.

just read the chapter first so you can have some time to calm down before you kill me.

"Are you sure?" Annabeth asks.

I nod. "Positive. Check it out." I hand her the mirror, which I have been puzzling over for the last thirteen days.

She takes it, and first runs her hand over the strange grooves on the back. Then, Annabeth flips it over to read the inscription carved into its smooth surface. "'Let the light guide, let the mirror shine.'" As the sun shone off of the mirror when I stuck it outside my window at sunrise the week before, the inscription had appeared.

I nod. "I think that this challenge is going to be made up of  a group of smaller ones. And I think that the final one is going to be Medusa." Annabeth groans, "I mean, I know that they're trying to impress us and prove to us that we could be valuable allies, but still. Medusa? What in the world are they thinking?"

I was confused. "Wait, they're trying to impress us?"

"Of course, Seaweed Brain!" My girlfriend rolls her eyes. "That's what this has all been about. The challenges were just to show us that they can do things just like us demigods can."

"But... they can't." I point out.

"I know that! I think they underestimated us, but still, they're better than mortals. And Perce, you've got to admit, they're not all bad."

I nodded. "There's Loka."

With her long, braided black hair, and brown-gold eyes, she was always the picture of helpfulness. The Gryffindor had quickly become best friends with all of us demigods, and we spent most days with her hanging out by the lake, or in the library, finding the funniest spells we possibly could. She also tutored Leo in Care of Magical Creatures because he kept asking where the bolts were in some of the creatures.

"And Violet Grace!" Annabeth reminded me of one of her best friends, a girl who hung out with us very frequently as well. Violet was a Ravenclaw with long black and blue-streaked hair, and bright blue eyes to rival Jason and Thalia's. She loved art and stories, and she and Annabeth had bonded over their shared wiseness.

"We've made some good friends." I conceded.

Annabeth leaned back and groaned. "What are we going to tell Chiron?"

I frowned. While at first we had been reluctant to share our secret with the wizards because of people like Harry Potter, those like Violet and Loka were changing our opinion of them. They really were kind, trusting, and helpful for the most part- all qualities that we could use in our allies. It was a tough decision, because we couldn't be sure if either side would react well to widespread knowledge of another race of magical beings.

"We don't, for now." I decide. "We wait until after the final challenge tomorrow. And after that, we either decide yes or no. If yes, then we'll tell our closest wizard and witch friends. If no, then... we leave, and it's done. We go back to Camp Half-Blood and forget we were ever here."

Annabeth turns away and grimaces, trying to hide how much the idea of this bothers her. I would never admit it, but it bothers me as well. The wizarding world is amazing, and so are the people (for the most part.

I've been avoiding Harry, but I talked to both Ron and Hermione a few times, and they're honestly pretty cool when they're not with Harry. Ever known someone who is a total sweetheart and caring person when one-on-one, but as soon as you put them back with that one friend, they turn awful again?
