It was the 12th October. The day before my 16th birthday and the concert&fanmeet. Yunari and I decided to have sleepover. Yunari is all over the floor while I clean my room... it really needs a cleaner.

I live in a apartment with my grandparents and my brother Chuno ever since my parents moved to Japan for business. There is not much place, but enough.

Once you were done you stood up to look at your room. It looked somewhat this—>

Yunari had just finished gathering some snacks as she sat down on the bed.

She looked at me with a grin, " soOoOoOoo who do you think you'll find most attractive?" She asked sheepishly

I laughed a little sarcastic and grapped some of the last things laying on the floor before saying " well I don't know any of them or how they look so that will be hard to answer, Yunnie"

Her face became surprised as she realised she hadn't shown any photos yet. " OMG I FORGOT!! I should really show you!! NO wait I want you too see their beauty for the first time in real life yessss! YOU'LL BE BLOWN AWAY BY THEIR ATTRACTIVENESS!"

I felt a smile grow on my lips by seeing Yunari this happy.

Yunari is not always so energetic and happy. She have had a lot of hard times, especially with her toxic parents.

I can somehow relate to her... NOT THAT MY PARENTS ARE TOXIC!... they just kind of chose their job over me and left me and my brother with my grandparents... if my grandparents hadn't claimed parent-ship over me and my brother we would've probably ended up at some sick rich people boadingschool.

My parents moved to Japan without even having time to say goodbye. They also claimed it would be better to stay in Korea because we already knew the language and they wouldn't have time for us anyways...

I later leaned Japanese but was happy with the life I was living

Yunari is also almost a part of my family since she uses all her time with me and my grandparents.

I help her a lot with some of her trauma and became the therapist sister to her.
Enhypen was the thing that brought back a light in her eyes which is why I respect them and their job a lot.

"Y/N!!" Yunari snapped me out of my thoughts. "What song do you wanna try for karaoke?"
Yunari had my iPad in her hands.

"Eum. What do you want to?" I questioned.

She began the song lilac by IU.
" You are really really good at high notes so I think this one will be just perfect for you" she smiled.

We sang a lot of songs together. I have always loved to sing and dance and Yunari is obsessed with making me audition for a K-pop entertainment.

Later that evening my grandma came knocked on the door to my room. "Y/n can I borrow you for a moment?" She said with a mischievous smile. I followed her out in the hallway.

"Tomorrow is your 16th birthday... which means you will receive your soulmate mark." She started
I slightly nodded at the already known information.

She opened her mouth and closed it again quickly as she continued "come with my sweetie"

She showed me to the little balcony in our apartment. It has a beautiful view especially at night where you can see all Seouls tall buildings and the stars come together.

She peacefully smiled at the sight. "The night before my 16th birthday, my mom took me out to look at the stars too. Just like her mother did with her. Just like I did with your mom. And just like I do with you now."

She looked at me with her kind eyes "you see that star?" She pointed out an extra shiny star. I nodded looking confused at her.

"That star is our star. Our family's star. It is one of the oldest and brightest stars on the sky. It have been through hardship and it have watched galaxy's get created and destroyed. It is here to remind us that our soulmate bond is stronger than the hardship you will face in your relationship. That the hard times only will make you and your soulmates bond stronger.the star will follow you wherever you are. Just like it have followed and protected all of our generations. You, your soulmate and that star share a special soulmate bond that will only grow stronger with time. As long as that star shine you are guaranteed luck and happiness"
I looked at grandma in awe. She seemed so... wise.

I went back to my room full of new thoughts just to find the now sleeping Yunari on my bed. I went to bed as well. A big day waited me tomorrow.

My alarm went of and I fell out of bed by the pure surprise. Yunari was nowhere to be seen.

I went out in the kitchen to find Chuno, my grandma, grandpa and Yunari sitting at the breakfast table.

Yunari was already dressed up and looked fabulous. If it wasn't because I could see the sun outside I would think it was her lighting up the whole room with her energetic smile.

After congratulations and birthday song Yunari forced me to dress up for the concert&fanmeet.

I checked my whole body but no sign of a soulmate mark... it must appear throughout the day then.

Yunari was clearly on the 9th cloud but she bothered to give me a birthday gift. It was a golden neckless with a heart. My name was incarcerated on the back. I could feel tears fill up my eyes but took it together as I didn't want to ruin my makeup.

Yunari and I never really gifted each other expensive gifts but I could see she have used a lot of her self-earned money on this one. I hugged her tight as we left to the concert&fanmeet.
