i can't explain just how rushed, lazy, unfinished and how out of character the characters were this season, it felt especially the last two episodes it hurt my soul. it really was a punch in the face to a lot of queer people whose comfort characters who are also queer/queercoded were treated this season like nothing good ever happened for them (except robin kinda).
the argument "it's the 80s" just like doesn't sit right w me either cuz like the queer side plots could've been done A LOT better. AND I MEAN A LOT BETTER.
anyways i did love the part where papa d*ed 🥰 i was cheering and clapping for this day, we love, we love.
eddie munson u did not deserve to die like that, like even if u HAD to go, it did not have to be like that. It was the most lazy way to get rid of a character that I've ever seen. Wow. He didn't have to do all that, he would've been fine. Didn't have to put Dustin thru all that. and they couldn't even be bothered to have a scene of Nancy, Robin, and Steve reacting to his death?????? That's the part that fucks me up the most, how absolutely LAZY and disappointing this season was and how it handled EVERYTHING. nothing was satisfying about that ending, and no I don't mean a happily ever after. I mean w all the continuity errors and plot holes and mistakes they made for this season was foul and embarrassing. ⚠️(I KNOW IM BEING DRAMATIC I JUST HAVE BEEN REALLY HYPERFIXATED ON THIS SHOW AND ESPECIALLY VOLUME 1 SO IT JUST HURT THAT EVEN WHEN I PAY ATTENTION TO THE DETAILS, THE DUFFER BROTHERS JUST COULDNT GIVE ENOUGH OF A SHIT FOR THEIR OWN SHOW AND IT JUST FEELS WEIRD YA KNOW?) ⚠️
They also made Eddie's age 17 ??? When he's literally repeated senior year at least 2 times which would make him 19/20????? Someone approved the poster that said his age was 17 no one cared about this season or the characters. I'm starting to think using all their budget on the cgi alone may have been a mistake bc it shows what effort was put where.
Also admitting u don't watch ur own show is so embarrassing like, duffer brothers, do u not keep character sheets n shit?? Take notes?? Anything to keep the continuity right??? For ppl who say that every detail of the show is intentional, y'all are the worst at knowing the details of the damm show YOU wrote.
"Mistakes happen" but that's why there's people that u hire to keep track and point out those mistakes and help fix them. I know they're not perfect but how do u royally mess up this badly?? I know they'll never see this and that's ok, I just need to get this off my chest because it bugs me.

Also the scene w Erica (AN 11 YEAR OLD) and Lucas getting basically hatecrimed was horrifying and traumatic as fuck. Idk what they were thinking when they wrote and shot those scenes it was so weird. It really wasn't necessary, we already hated Jason and his goons but then u had to sprinkle some racism on top of that. "It's the 80s" "it's realistic" and ?? Is it tho?? Was it tho?? it was still horrible and made me sick to my stomach it was just so uncomfortable and unnecessary like I mentioned.
but for real, we all agree that we reject episode 9 as canon right? That wasn't real.
