𝗘𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁

                             - 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗽𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 -

"Where's Nancy?" Dustin whispered as I let him out of my grasp. I shrugged my shoulder "dunno." I replied. Mike bounced his leg up and down, anxiously as he stared down at his watch. After a few more minutes of him fidgeting around he quickly stood up, making el sit straight up. He ran towards the door that lead outside, he pushed open the doors and then ran outside. "Nancy!? Jonathan?!" We heard mike yell. "You think they left?" Lucas asked quietly, I shrugged my shoulder "maybe" I whispered. Nancy was really independent ever since we were little, she probably didn't want to stay with the kids. She wanted to help, and I understood why. Hell I wanted to help too but I understood why I couldn't, I was the only thing my dad had left if I died he'd have nothing. I couldn't do that to my dad especially now. We heard the door open and then close again, and then Mike speed walking towards us "they're gone" Mike announced. I groaned and leaned my head back onto Dustin's. "What?" Lucas asked his eyebrows knitted together.

"Nancy and Jonathan. His cars gone."

"They're probably just sucking face somewhere" I rolled my eye and elbowed dustin in the side. "Gross" Lucas said gagging "no. No way!" Mike said scrunching up his face into a disgusted expression. Dustin was probably right, you could sense they're feeling for each other a mile away.  I kinda felt bad for Liam though, just kinda. Even though he was one of my best friends, he was a dick. Especially recently maybe it was because he finally was getting noticed by the popular kids, or that he was dating hawkins resident 'good girl' Nancy wheeler. He was always an ass yeah but it was like in an older brother type way. He'd just tease us but now..now he was actually an asshole he was mean and manipulative. He used my weaknesses against me just to humiliate me, just like he yelled at me after I had told Steve about him and Nancy. He knew I hated being yelled at, he knew and he used against me, laughed in my face when I started crying.

I still don't know if I hate him though, he was like a big brother to me growing up.

"Did they go with the chief?" Dustin asked. "I don't know!" Mike said quite aggravated with all the questions. "No" el stated. Mike furrowed his eyebrows "what? Did you see them? Do you know where they went?" Mike asked. I tapped my foot against the floor anxiously when I heard the sound of a car pulling up. My eyes widened and I hopped up running towards the door.

"Where is she going?"

"Steve harrington"

I pushed open the first door, this one creaked as I slammed back. Then I pushed open the second larger metal door to see Steve bmw sitting in the parking lot. He looked up and smiled as he saw me running towards his car. He twisted the keys out of the ignition. Then he opened the door and stepped out of his car, he had a huge bruise across his face as well as dried blood. "Hey y/n" i sprinted up to him and wrapped my arms around him hugging him. "Hey, hey what's going on?" He asked wrapping his arms around me. I pulled away and cupped his face in my hands. I carressed his cheek softly, as his face contorted into a confused expression. "What happened?" I asked softly, "oh I..um byers beat me up" he sighed. I chuckled softly. There was no way, no fucking way Jonathan byers could beat up Steve harrington. No way I've know both byers kids my entire life and both of them are the exact same, terrified of conflict, terrified of getting hurt. Maybe his brother going missing did something to him, pushed him to stick up for himself more, his family more.

"What'd you do?" I giggled, his mouth gaped open and chuckled. "I didn't do anything" he lied. I rolled my eyes, "I know Jonathan and he wouldn't beat someone up unless he had a purpose" I said dragging my finger softly along his cheek making him wince. He sighed and rolled his eyes "you've got me, liam and I might've done something to piss him off."
