Boxing Day had always been one of the least favourable days of the year for Eleanor. The excitement of Christmas was over and there was never too much to do. Except this year, it was a completely different story and Eleanor took on the day with a newfound pep in her step. When she'd left The Burrow last night, Charlie had asked if they would be able to spend some time together the following day, and Eleanor eagerly agreed and told him to come by her flat during the afternoon. The weather outside was truly abysmal; not quite cold enough to snow but the rain falling relentlessly and the sky was like a grey sheet cast over the alley, meaning a cosy afternoon/ evening was exactly what was needed. She decided she would cook dinner for Charlie, to show her appreciation for the wonderful Christmas she'd had, and went to the shops in the morning to buy fresh ingredients.

The only difficult thing about a 'date' at home was trying to decide what to wear. Initially Eleanor had decided on jeans, but concluded that she would never naturally wear jeans at home and instead embraced the feminine energy that was coursing through her on this particular day and opted for a cute skirt and jumper combination- paired with some woolly tights for warmth.

It was 3pm when she heard a knock at her door, and a huge grin overtook her as she rushed down the stairs to open the door. Her heart lurched when she saw Charlie standing on her doorstep and knew that she would never get tired of the sight nor the feeling it gave her. The only possible greeting she could think of to express her excitement at his arrival was to thrust herself forwards into his arms, feverishly meeting his lips in a passionate kiss. The 16 hours spent apart were evidently far too long and Charlie wrapped his arms around Eleanor's waist, lifting her to his height to kiss her back. As they pulled apart and he allowed her back onto her feet, Eleanor giggled sheepishly and a blush overtook her cheeks.

"Hi," she breathed, smiling up at him. Her eyes observed him carefully, taking in every beautiful feature of him. He was truly magnetic; his eyes appearing more bright and blue than ever despite the dullness of the day before them. He had a very slight dimple in his cheek when he smiled and it was a tiny feature that melted Eleanor's heart.

"Hi yourself," he grinned back, swiping his thumb over her cheek gently before she moved aside to let him in.

"I wasn't gonna say it because I know it sounds pathetic but I missed you," he told her once they reached the top of the stairs. "I could barely sleep last night,".

Eleanor's body warmed up at his words, remembering the trouble she'd had sleeping herself last night, unable to stop thinking about the heated kiss they shared in the kitchen of The Burrow after exchanging gifts.

"Me too," she admitted. "I thought we could watch a film before I cook us dinner... I've got a couple that were my mums,".

Charlie was instantly intrigued by the idea, as growing up in a Pureblood wizarding family meant he had never really got the chance to experience this, despite his dad's fascination with muggle culture.

"That sounds perfect. But first, I'm gonna need you to come here,". After taking his coat off, he fell down into a spot on Eleanor's sofa and opened his arms wide, inviting her over to him.

Eagerly, she closed the distance between them and sat down next to him. She placed her head against his chest and bit back a smile as he wrapped his arms right around her body, holding her to him. She could feel the slightly accelerated beating of his heart, his scent dizzying all her thoughts. She snuck her arm around his torso and sighed happily.
