Going Home

After the call from my dad we went over to Ryland's house to make the arrangements to head home. They will allow us till Monday to get there than on Tuesday they will bury them.

I never thought I would be burying one of my own brothers and know here I was fixing to put two in the ground. Ransom stayed with me the night after just so I wouldn't have to be alone, I cried the whole night.

The next day we were going to meet at Ryland's early so we could talk. Ryland had to tell Heidi what we were before we left. Even though he wasn't ready, he knew it was the best thing to do.

So Monday morning we all meet at his house early. I set beside Ransom on the couch and Heidi and Ryland set on the other side.

"Heidi there's something I need to tell you before we leave" Ry starts

"I already know Reese is pregnant, she told me"

We all smiled

"I know, that you knew about Reese. She told me she told you. This isn't about that" He tells her

"Oh"

"I don't want you to be afraid, and I want you to know we would never hurt you"

"Ok your starting to scare me now" she says

"No, baby don't fear me. I could never do anything to hurt you"

Ryland looks at me for help

"We just want to prepare you for what's to come. We're leading you into our...." I try to find the right word but I figure just go with it "Pack and we don't want you to fear that"

She give's me a what did you say look

"Ok, so what is it"

"Try not to panic" Ran tells her

I give him a shut up look

"Ok now you're really scaring me" she says

Ry pulls her close to him

"Please don't be afraid, I could never hurt you, you are my mate"

"Mate" its a question"

"Yes, and we are wolves"

She smiles

"Ok, you're wolves" she says

"Yes, will technically we are werewolves or shape shifters" I tell her

"Right" and she doesn't believe us

"We are not telling you this as some bed time story. We are telling this because we are fixing to walk into a whole village of wolves" Ransom tells her

"Y'all aren't joking" her smile fades

"No we're not" Ryland says

"We need to know if you're still with us" I tell her

"I don't have a choice do I" she asked "I mean if I'm Ry's mate"

"No you have a choice, you can chose to walk away. But that want stop Ryland from coming for you, because he will find every way possible just to be with you. He will do what he can to keep you with him. Yes you have a choice but Ry will come for you." I tell her

Ryland is looking at me

"My little sister has grown up" he says

I give him a smile

"I want promise a smooth ride because there are things out there that will hunt you" I start

"Reese" Ry scolded me
