Who knew that one of my brothers could be possessive. Over the next couple of mouths Raven and I hung out a lot. She would tell me little things that he would do like get mad if a guy said hi to her.
We where out shopping, Raven and I. Some how we got to talking about them, for some reason we always end up taking about them.
"He hasn't kissed me since that night" Raven tells me
I look up at her
"Really"
"I don't know maybe he don't like the way I kiss"
I smile at her
"He likes your kiss Raven"
"He hasn't even touched me though since that night. And all we did was kiss."
"He don't want to hurt you"
"His hurting my feelings"
"I understand"
"He has given me some space" she tells me
"That's good, y'all get there just give it time"
She smiles all a sudden
"What"I ask
"I wish he'll touch me like that more often"
I smile shaking my head as she runs her tomb over her bottom lip.
"What about about the lip biting thing" I asked her
"Oh, he still gets weird over it"
I jump hearing a ringtone I haven't heard in a while. I pulled out the phone and looked at it.
"Excuse me a moment Raven, I have to take this"
"OK" she gives me a look as I walk off to the side to answer.
What the hell is he doing calling.
"Hello"
"Reese" Zion says pain in his voice
I straighten up more alert
"Is everything alright Zion"
"She's gone"
Tears came to my eyes as the word left his lips.
"Reese I need you"
"Zion who is gone" even though I knew the answer I had to here him say it.
"Nan"
My legs give out from under me and I fall to the floor.
"Reese" Raven comes running up
I hold a hand up to silencing her.
"I need you to tell your brothers. The funeral is this Saturday. I know I've hurt you Reese, but this is for Nancy" Zion tells me
"Of course I'll be there" I tell him
After we hang up I set there without blinking.
"Reese your scaring me" Raven says
I whip a tear from my eye.
"I need to call my brothers. We need to talk" I tell her
She nods
"I'll call Jace" she tells me
I just nod
Digging my other phone out I dialed Ry's number
"Hello" Heidi answers
"I need to speak to Ry"
"His in the shower right now"
