"Sesshomaru, I wish to ask you something." Taking his head away from my chest, his gaze locks onto mine and I couldn't help it when I leaned down and kissed him. It was slow and sweet, just enjoying the sensations of each other's lips, my hand came up to grasp his face.

Once the need for air couldn't be ignored, I reluctantly pulled away slowly. I took a moment for my thoughts to collect themselves as we rested our foreheads against each other, watching as his eyes opened to meet mine... subconsciously stroking his cheek. I finally said my question,

"Sesshomaru, my mate, my other half...I ask to officially court you, to shower you with gifts and my love, so that I may show the world you are mine and no one can take you away from me just as I can't be taken from you. To be together forever with you."

Sesshomaru's Pov

The warmth of Raiju's large hand on my cheek was just as pleasant as the feeling in my chest as I gazed into his eyes as he said those words. Against myself, I felt tears gathering as the overwhelming love I felt from hearing the words I always yearned to hear but gave up searching for a long time ago. A surge of clarity overtook deep within myself as my inner beast for the first time submitted.

Looking into those promising golden eyes, knowing I'm going to love this man till the end of our lives and beyond. Closing my eyes, I lay our foreheads together as I equally cradle his face in my hands.

Third Pov*

Raiju closes his eyes, enjoying his loved one's hands on his face, pressing closer so their noses touch together. Lips mere centimeters apart graze with each movement of Sesshomaru's as he spoke,

"Raiju, I had long ago given up on finding the one that was supposed to be only for me. I thought I was going to have to fully give up and mate with someone my mother has chosen for me for the sake of the clan. However, I met you before it became a possibility, something I will thank Kami for. Even though we met just a day ago my instincts are guiding me to what I need."

"Raiju, my mate, my other half...I delightfully accept your courtship. I shall never leave your side willingly, to give you my entire being and ask you to do the same in return. For you to never leave me or our future pups, to show anyone you are the only one I will submit to. To be together for eternality"

Raiju grins as he listens, loving the brushes of his love's lips against his with every spoken word. Whispering back in the same soft tone as Sesshomaru, "I wouldn't have accepted anything else; you are mine, Sesshomaru. I'm not letting you go."

Claiming the lips in a teasing nip, Raiju nibbed on Sesshomaru's bottom lip, staring intensely at his lover's face for any discomfort. Finding nothing of the sort, Raiju moves to grab Sesshomaru's hands from his face, moving them down to place them on his shoulders.

Allowing himself one more nibble before breaking off those addicting lips, Raiju whispered in a teasing tone, "You better hold on tight." Before Sesshomaru could process, his world tilted.
