Chapter 15

Mercedes POV
Reggie came to my house at about 6, and I had dressed myself for a party, ya know because that's what we do that together. Reggie on the other hand, came with a navy blue and white plaid shirt with dress slacks.

"Do you want to change or something?" I said looking at him

"Uh, yah that would be nice"

"Ok, just uh give me a second?"

"Ya"
I could hear him pacing outside my door and I kinda freaked.

"Ok, let's go"

"You look beautiful"
I'll admit it, I blushed. It has just been a while ok? Since someone told me I was beautiful and it felt good. As we walked down the hallway, I felt his hand brush against mine and it made me remember something.....
FLASHBACK
Mercedes POV

"Come on Mercedes just try it" Reggie said

"My parents will kill me"

"Come on we found these in your Dad's den"

"Would if we get cancer or something"

"Really, don't go there. This is gonna be fun! And if we get caught blame your dad"

"Ok fine"
And in that instant we both reached for the pack, his went over mine. Before he could look at me, I pulled my hand away.

"Ugh, sorry" he said putting his palm over his face

"No it's, fine we are friends anyway right?" I said with a frown

END OF FLASHBACK
I had strangely had feelings for Reggie since freshman year, but than the reason why we weren't together came as quick as the flashback.

We were sitting on a blanket next to the bench that we sat on when we first met.

"Is this ok?"

"Yea Reggie it's fine"

"Damn it. It's JUST fine."

"No, no it's great it's just weird"

He had a hurt look on his face. I didn't know what to say to him. Sorry your like my brother. I'm still in love with Sam. There it was, it had finally came out. Well, it came out in my head. I had admitted it to myself, but here Reggie was. Ready to do anything for me and I still wanted to be with Sam. Reggie and I are to much alike, all we want to do is please the person we love. In that moment I knew exactly how he felt.

"It's not great" I said

He froze before looking up at me

"It's perfect" I said putting his hand over mine

Reggie's POV
It felt like a burst of energy things weren't awkward anymore, things were perfect. So I lifted my hand over her cheek and kissed her. The best thing was that she kissed me back. It wasn't like kissing your pillow, it was the real damn thing
Mercedes POV
Once we pulled away from each other a million things wanted to come out of my mouth.
1) I'm sorry I can't do this (followed by a dramatic runaway)
2) I like you, but I don't like like you?
3) or not worry about you future and kiss him again.
4) explain that your still in love with Sam
5) tell him you have herepes (which isn't true, but do you have a better idea)

I guess I went with 3.
