Harry woke up holding Liam against his chest and remembering the bittersweet moments of the night before. He could remember Louis' plan to get Niall and Zayn together, and he thought it was the sweetest thing ever. But he also remembered the argument that had ensued, and how upset it had made him. He remembered how Liam and him had talked and how they had both agreed That fate just wasn't on their side. And how he had fallen asleep holding Liam instead of being held by Harry. Not that the position he found himself in now was uncomfortable. It was plenty comfortable, it just wasn't...right. It made Harry uncomfortable to hold someone rather than being held. It just wasn't him.

"Harry?" Liam shook his sholder gently. "Are you awake?"

Harry turned over so he faced Liam. "Yeah. I am. Why?"

Liam cleared his throat. "I have a question, and it might be a bit awkward." Harry looked at him, too tired to really process the words, and Liam continued. "Considering fate has basically screwed us over and the people we like like other people, I tjought maybe we could fake date for a while. Make them jealous. And if it dosent work, at least we had a pretend relationship for a while. It's better than just pining after them forever."

Harry looked at Liam in shock, but the more the idea sunk in, then more he was okay with it. Wishing Louis loved him would jist becone pitiful after a while, and at least pretending to date Liam would be doing something about it. And like Liam said, even if this accomplished nothing, at least they would have had the security of a fake relationship for a while. Slowly, he nodded his head. This plan could work, and he couldn't see any drawbacks to it. Not yet at least. He was sure that there were hundreds of things that could go terribly wrong, but as of yet those were invisible. And what was life without a little risk.

"I guess we could try it." He agreed. He thought about Niall, and how he liked Liam and not Zayn. If Harry dated Liam, maybe Niall would stop pining over him, and embrace his relationship with Zayn.

Liam smiled. "Well then I suppose I have a question to ask you." Harry smiled back just a bit. "Harry Styles, would you do me the honor of being my boyfriend?"

They were both grinning wildly at this point, amused behind belief but not quite laughing. Harry thought they probably looked like love struck fools at that point which inly made him smile wider. This would be easy to fake.

"Why of course I would. I thought you'd never ask." At that point, niether boy could hold it in any longer and they both started laughing. They were laughing hard enough that the others heard and Zayn and Niall were soon in the room to check on the two.

"Are you okay?" Niall asked, seeming confused and minorly concerned for his bandmates sanity.

Harry smiled at the boy. 'Just fine mate. And how are you and Zayn?"

"We''re doing okay." Niall seemed creeped out by the two, and was backing out of the room When Liam spoke up.

"Could you get Louis and wait downstairs? Harry and I have something we want to tell you." Liam asked. Niall looked at Zayn, who looked at him, then they both turned back towards Liam. Niall was the one t speak, breaking the awkward silence.

"Louis spent the night at Elenors." He informed them. And Harry felt his walls crumble around him. Liam found his hand and tightened his fingers around it, giving Harry a tiny bit if reassurance, enoigh to keep up his facade until Zayn and Niall left.

"Well can you let me know when he gets back? We kind of need to talk to all three of you." Liam requested. Niall looked really confused, But he nodded.

"Yeah, sure." He grabbed Zayn s hand and dragged him out of the room. Harry collapsed back onto the bed, letting Liam hold him. It didn't feel anything like Louis arms, and it only made him cry harder.

"I thoight maybe since they had bever spent the night together he didn't really love her. I thought I had a chance. But he will always love her, not me." He muttered to himself. Liam rubbed his back, knowing his attempts at comforting the boy probably weren't helping at all. But it only took Harry about ten minutes to calm down.

"I'm Okay Liam. I just need to get over him. I'll still help you. You deserve a chance. But it's not gonna help me." Harry gave Liam a small smile. "Ill be okay." He sounded almost like he was trying to convince himself of it rather than telling Liam, but he didn't call the younger boy out on the fact. What Harry needed right now was support, and support was something Liam was good at giving.

"Harry, I'm going to try something." He warned. And then he leaned in and gently pressed his lips against Harry's. It took Harry a moment, but he kissed back, slow and gentle. It didn't feel right, but it didn't feel wring. It just felt...different. It didn't have any sparks, or fireworks, or enthusiasm of any sort, but it was a comfortable feeling. Almost like when they had layed in bed together the night before. Not uncomfortable, but not right either. Just...there.

"I think I can live with that." Liam stated, pulling away. "If you were a bad kisser, I would have called the plan off."

Harry couldn't tell if Liam was joking or not. He figured that it must have been, since the plan would benefit Liam more than Harry, had been Liam s idea, and Liam had been the one to instigate the kiss. He couldn't imagine that Liam would have actually revoked the deal if Harry had been bad at kissing. He guessed that Liam was likely joking, but you could never really tell with Liam.

"I was kidding Harry. Gosh, am I really that bad at telling jokes?" Liam smiled softly and Harry smiled back. It was a minor reassurance, but both boys basically considered any reassurance worth ten times its value at this moment.

"You are pretty bad at joking around. Maybe you should take acting classes." Harry suggested.

Liam raised an eyebrow. "Acting classes? Why not comedy?"

Harry giggled, a sound Louis would have Lockerbie for but Liam just gave him an odd look for, and patted Liam on the head. "You see Liam, it isn't that you aren't funny, Its that you dont know how to tell jokes."

Harry got out of bed, stretching out his limbs. He was still in his clothes from the day before, and they were rather rumpled. He looked into the mirror, taking look at his appearence. His eyes were a bit swollen from crying, and his clothes were rumpled up enough that he just looked like a mess. With a sigh, he turned look at Liam.

"I'm gonna go wash up." He told Liam before walking out of the room. Liam watched him go before silently wondering if their plan was a good idea at all. But then his mindset took the same shape as Harry's. Both of their crushes hated them, had other people to hold. What could possibly go wrong?
