Hannah had been getting treatment for cancer at the hospital for the past week and a half. Now Hannah was going to be at home for a little while. But she still had to come back for treatments on a regular basis. The doctors on her care team also prescribe a lot of different medicines for her to take while at home. She still had medicine she had to take at the hospital too.
Tracy had to go to work at the labs as the breadwinner in the family, while Michael the homemaker had to stay home and look after Hannah along with the house.
Once Hannah came home from the hospital, Tracy and Michael had a lot on their minds for the next couple of days. Michael's friends at the Justice League came to check on them. They were in their civilian outfits.
"Hey you two how is it going?" Wally asked.
"It has been hard," Tracy said.
"We figured that," John said.
"How is Hannah?" Diana asked.
"Feeling pretty sick today," Michael said. "She just doesn't feel like doing much now," he said.
They could tell both Tracy and Michael were worried and had a lot on their minds. They could see they needed time with friends and sometime to get things off their chests and unwind.
"Maybe we can take you two out for a while, to help get your mind off things," Clark suggested.
"We can't leave Hannah alone, she is only six and so sick," Tracy said.
"I don't know who can watch her," Michael said.
"I will stay with her," Wally said.
"You will Wally?" Michael asked.
"Of course, I use to babysit all the time as a teen," Wally said. "Just tell me what I have to do," he said.
"Skeets has list of her care and schedule I gave him, he will help you," Michael said. "Right Skeets?" he asked.
"Of course sir," Skeets said.
"Wally make sure you follow the instructions," Tracy said.
"Of course," Wally said.
"So come on you two, you need to relax," John said.
"Okay," Michael said.
"Don't worry you two, I will handle everything," Wally said.
Michael and Tracy went into Hannah's room. "Hannah Mommy and I are going out for a while so Wally is going to keep an eye on you for a while," Michael said.
"Okay," Hannah said.
So Michael and Tracy went out and Wally was left in charge of Hannah.
Wally wanted to know the list. "So Skeets what is on the list on caring for Hannah?" Wally asked.
"Hannah has medicines she needs to take at certain times and she needs to rest, and she needs to eat small portions of food through out the day." Skeets said.
"Okay when does each need to happen?" Wally asked.
"I will let you know sir," Skeets said. "Hannah will ring a bell, if she needs something, or if she wants something, or if she thinks you should check on her. " he said.
Then a bell was heard. "Sounds like I better check on her." Wally said. He went into Hannah's room.
"What do you need Hannah?" Wally asked her.
"Can I have some more juice?" Hannah asked showing him her glass.
"Sure," Wally said. "What kind were you drinking?" he asked.
"Orange," Hannah said. "Mine is the one without pulp," she said.
Wally nodded and went into the kitchen. He looked in the fridge. "Here we are orange juice without pulp." Wally said and poured Hannah a glass. He went back to her room and gave her the juice.
"Here you go," he said.
"Thank you," Hannah said and sipped some of the juice. The she placed it on her bedside table. Then laid down to get some rest.
Wally went back to the other room. A couple of minutes later Skeets came up to him. "Sir Hannah needs one of her medicines," Skeets said.
"Okay which one does she need?" Flash asked.
"She needed a corticosteroid to help ease her pain and inflammation caused by her tumor and the cancer, I know the name and where it is kept," Skeets said. "Follow me," he said.
Wally followed Skeets and found where Hannah's medicine was. "It is this bottle right here sir," Skeets said.
"Okay," Wally said taking the bottle out. Then got the pill ready. He came into Hannah's room. "Hannah time for one of your medicines," he said.
"Okay," Hannah said and took the pill from Wally. She put the pill in her mouth and swallowed it with a gulp of orange juice.
"Good job," Wally said.
Meanwhile Michael and Tracy were with the others who encouraged them to talk if they felt like it. Both Michael and Tracy felt so relieved that their friends were there for them and being so supportive. They knew it wasn't going to be easy but with his friends there it was going to be easier.
Michael and Tracy talked about something they had been on their minds and they felt better after talking about it.
Once back home the saw Hannah resting comfortably in her room and Wally was checking on her.
"How is she?" Tracy asked.
"She is just fine," Wally said.
"Thank you so much for watching her Wally," Michael said.
"It was no trouble at all you two," Wally said. "I was happy to help," he said.
"If you two ever need help we can take turns watching Hannah and helping you with the things you need help with," Clark said.
"Thank you Clark," Tracy said.
"Thank you all so much," Michael said.
Things were not going to be easy but with the help of good friends nothing Michael, Tracy and Hannah couldn't get through.
