Chapter 8

Jungkook Point Of View

On the way back from being with the pack i was with the girls and Felix and Changbin. In Jennie's arms. I'm really comfortable with her so I fell asleep. When i woke up i did a cute yawn and realised i was in Changbin arms. I snuggled closer into him and i heard awwwwws.

*Stop it. Me shy.* I said cutely through mindlink I got lifted and now I'm in Jisoos arms. Yippee.

*Hi noona.* I said through mindlink and I heard Jisoo giggle.

*You are too cute Ghost/Kookie.* Jisoo said and I snuggled closer and I fell asleep again.

-Time Skip-

When I woke up I was with Hyunjin and Lisa. I realised I was in human form. I checked my phone. It was the next day.

'How long have I been asleep for?' I asked, rubbing my eyes cutely.

'You have been asleep since Jisoo took you in her arms. You have been asleep for a while. It's 11 in the morning the next day.' Lisa said and I nodded.

'Go and shower and get ready kookie. The girls will take you to the school for that appointment with the doctor.' Hyunjin said.

I nodded but when I got off the bed I collapsed.

'What happened?' I heard.

'I can't get up. I can't walk.' I said sadly.

'Has this happened before?' Lisa asked gently.

'Once. It happened after my mother passed away.' I replied sniffing.

'It's okay, can you turn? We can wash you that way and go to the other girls.' Lisa said and I said a small 'Ok.'

I transformed and I looked up at the couple and their eyes were wide.

'Your adult wolf Ghost.' Hyunjin said, patting my head.

'You did it, Ghost. You're not a puppy anymore.' Lisa said.

*This is Ghost. Not Jungkook. I was being selfish of keeping Kookie as a puppy when in wolf form. I didn't realise it would cause him to be affected in human form. Now he can't walk.* Ghost said through mindlink.

'Its okay you didn't know that. Is there a reason why?' Hyunjin said.

*Yes.* Ghost/Jungkook replied.

'Could you tell us?' Hyunjin asked.

*I'm lonely.... Everywhere I go I see people with their mates. You guys are all mated and it hurts watching. I'm missing that soo much. When I'm alone I cry. You have no idea how much it hurts to see everyone with their mates and you're left out.* Ghost/Jungkook replied through mindlink.

Lisa and Hyunjin looked sad.

*When I'm a puppy I don't think about mates. Puppies only care about getting attention and feeling loved and safe. I need it but I can't have it because I don't have a mate. If i can't get what i need from a mate that i don't have i need it from other people like you guys so when im a puppy i get that from you guys. Being a puppy means I don't think about mates but when I'm an adult I do. It's easier being a puppy. It distracts me from being mateless and it's starting to affect Kookie, cause he doesn't have what he craves for. When he's a puppy he doesn't know about anything like that.* Ghost replied.

'I had no idea. You really are special Ghost.' Lisa said sniffing.

'That's why you're a puppy most of the time cause it's better for yourself and Kookie. It makes it easier not having a mate because puppies don't think about that.' Hyunjin said, patting my head.

*If kookie was a human for long enough he would be sad and depressed. It would be really noticeable. Being a puppy makes him happy. It's his safe place.* Ghost said and started crying/whimpering.

'It's okay Ghost. Let's get you to the doctor. The girls are waiting for Hyunjin and Changbin to come. It's okay.' Lisa said.

They opened the door and I walked out after Lisa but before Hyunjin. When we got outside the girls and Changbin were shocked.

*Yea yea yea i'm an adult let's go.* Ghost said, walking away.

'Someone is grumpy. What happened?' Jisoo said.

'We found out why Ghost and Jungkook are always a puppy.' Lisa said and they were walking behind me. Rose was in wolf form with me.

'Okay that's good. What's the reason?' Changbin asked.

'You guys will find out when we are at the doctors. Ghost will tell everyone through the mindlink that's in the room including the doctor 'cause she's from our pack.' Hyunjin said.

After a while we got to the school. When we got there we arrived at the field and everyone looked at us. Everyone got around me to protect me.

*If I had my mate, you guys wouldn't need to protect me. You should be protecting your mate. I'll never have a mate.* Ghost said through the mindlink sadly and started to walk to the building with his head low.

'What was that?' Chan said, walking over.

'We found out why he's always in his puppy wolf form instead of an adult wolf form or human.' Hyunjin said, looking at Ghost sitting waiting for the girls with his head down.

'Okay what it is. Can't be that bad.' Chan replied.

'Hes mateless and it's affecting them. Jungkook and Ghost go into wolf puppy form because it's better for both of them.' Lisa said, holding Hyunjin's hand.

'When Ghost is in adult form he thinks about the fact he doesn't have a mate and we all do and it makes him worse. Having to watch us and him being left out. Jungkook is starting to feel it. Like something is missing. So the way they have been dealing with it is by being a puppy as they don't think about that.' Hyunjin said.

'When he woke up he was in human form but he couldn't walk. When he turned it was his adult wolf that appeared not the puppy and told us everything. This is serious. If he gets more upset about this and becomes depressed he could hurt himself. He could die.' Lisa said.

'You know that wont happen right?' Minho said.

'We don't know what will happen.' Jennie said.

'Find out what the doctor says and we will take it from there.' Chan said and left.

The boys left for practice while the girls went to me.

While going to the doctor, which is our pack doctor everyone was looking at me. I just wanted to run away.

We got there and I told everyone what I said to Hyunjin and Lisa. I got asked to wait outside in the hall while they talked.

My wolf turned into a puppy. My adult wolf can't really be out for any length of time cause he gets upset and depressed about the mate thing.

I was lying down on my side, head facing the door and i didnt realise another wolf was there. All of a sudden I felt really really small and eyes were staring at me. I heard 'What are you doing?!' I looked and I screamed in my mindlink. I ran as fast as my little legs took me.
