(So, I went to see Top Gun Maverick and after I came home I looked up RWBY x Top Gun fan fiction, and not only did I find no original crossovers, but no multiverse react segments for it either, so to combat this injustice, I give you this chapter)
The screen starts with a shot of a desert with a jet doing a low fly pass over it. It then proceeds to cut to a valley with two jets flying through it.
"Woah, what are those" asks Ruby
"Those are called fighter jets, high tech combat aircraft" explains Rex
The screen then shows a car door opening and someone getting out.
The screen then shows Jaune walking into a building wearing shades and a Hawaiian shirt as some says "What do we have here"
"Hey Jaune, your in this one, again" says Nora
The screen shows Cardin saying "and here I thought we were special"
People from team RWBY and JNPR quietly groaned
The screen then shows Yang saying "Fellas, this here's Bag Man"
"Hey, Yang's here, cool" says Ruby
Cardin corrects her "Hang Man"
"Whatever" Yang responds
A few people snicker
Another pilot asks "What the hell kinda mission is this"
"So, they've been called in for a mission" says Ironwood
"I wonder what it is" says Winter
The screen shows the inside of a jets cockpit as it speeds through a canyon, the person flying's helmet reads Maverick
"Maverick, wonder who they are?" asks Sun
Rex smirks
As the screen shows the pilots again Yang is heard saying "Everyone here is the best there is, who the hell are they going to get to teach us"
"Simple, someone better" says Ozpin as he sips his coffee
The screen the shows Qrow wearing a leather flight vest and shades pulling the cover off of a bike as Ironwood is heard saying "Captain Qrow 'Maverick' Branwen"
"QROW?!" shouts most of the audience
The man himself drops his flask in shock before muttering "I really join the army in this world"
"Navy actually" responds Rex "As Ironwoods counterpart said, this version of Qrow is one of the best damn pilots in the whole navy" says Rex
"How?" asks Winter
"He just has a gift for it"
The screen then shows Qrow on his bike drag racing a jet as Ironwood says "Let me be perfectly blunt, you are not my first choice"
"Why not, if he's as good as you say he is" says Ironwood
"Because while he is an amazing pilot, he's also still Qrow" answers Rex
That explained a little too much to those watching
The screen shows Qrow walking in to a building before showing him looking at a picture of Ozpin as Ironwood says "You are hear at the request of Admiral Kasansky, aka Iceman"
"Ozpins a member of the military in this" asks Glynda
"Yup, and actually is friends with Qrow and ran a bunch of missions with him." explained Rex
A figure is shown on a carriers elevator platform and Ironwood says "He seems to think you have something left to offer the navy"
Ironwood is shown saying "What that is I can't imagine"
Qrow is shown flying a jet before showing him in a conference room as he says "With all due respect sir, I'm not a teacher, just want to mange expectation"
"Huh, Qrow being respectful to military personnel, never thought I'd see the day" said Ironwood
"Very funny Jimmy" says Qrow
Qrow is shown flying his jet between two trainee's as they panic
As Qrow continues to fly he says "Good morning aviators, this is you captain speaking"
The screen shows Clover and Ironwood looking at each other and Peitro Polendina saying "And we're off"
Ironwood just sighed
The screen shows Qrow in a jet as the canopy closes as he says "Here we go"
The screen shows Another pilot, Jaune and Yang in there own jets as Qrow counts down from three
The Screen then shows the jet's engines firing up before showing them taking off from the carrier
"Dang, so cool" say's Jaune
"Weiss, can I borrow some paper and a pencil from you" asks Ruby
"Sure, why" asks Weiss as she hands her some
"I want to sketch out some blueprints for those jets, imagine if we could have those in our world" responds Ruby as she begins sketching the jet
"I will literally pay you for those blueprints miss Rose" says Ironwood
"Sounds Good" Ruby says as she continues sketching
As Jets fly around in combat Cardin says "We're going into combat no living pilot has ever seen"
Cardin is then shown looking at Qrow as he says "Not even him"
Qrow is seen saying "You think up there, your dead, believe me"
The jet's fly through a snowy canyon and under a Bridge.
A picture of Qrow and Jaunes dad is seen as Jaune is heard saying "My dad believed in you"
"My dad knew you in this one" says Jaune
"Guess so" says Qrow
Jaune is seen looking at Qrow as he says "I'm not gonna make the same mistake"
"Long story" says Rex before anyone can ask
Jets are seen flying in formation before Qrow says "Someone's not coming back from this"
"Jeez, must be one tough mission" says Sun
Jet's are shown flying over the peak of a mountain before the pilots are shown playing football on the beach as Summer is heard saying "Those are your pilots, if anything happens to them"
Jets are seen trying to dodge anti air missiles as the pilots panic before one is shown being hit and crashing
Some people gasp
Summer and Qrow are shown at a military funeral as Summer says "You'll never forgive yourself"
Scenes of Jets flying around and people hanging out are shown as Clover says "No turning back now"
Qrow is shown splitting two jets as he says "Having any fun yet"
Qrow is then shown flying over the peak of a mountain before inverting and diving.
Finally the title card is shown

"So cool" says Ruby
"Yeah, that world was awsome" says Nora
