Isaac and Scott reluctantly made their way downstairs when they heard the doorbell ring and the food arrive. When they entered the kitchen, Melissa was standing behind the island with a glass of water, a slice of pizza, and a knowing smirk on her face.

"Sorry I didn't tell you I was coming home early," she said, "I didn't expect you to have anyone over though."

Scott made his way over to the island, Isaac behind him, "Yeah it was sort of a... last minute thing," he lied.

"Oh it's fine, have over anyone you'd like. Just maybe text me first." she said.

Scott was still shifting uncomfortably.

"Well, thanks for the food but I should probably get going. Liam's still at home so..." Isaac said.

"Oh alright. How is Liam doing by the way?" Melissa asked.

"He's good. He thinks i'm being overprotective by not wanting him to be home alone for too long. That's why Theo's over there now," Isaac explained. He watched as Melissa paused for a few seconds.

"Theo's there?" she asked, for clarification.

"Yeah. Why?" Isaac raised an eyebrow.

"It's nothing, I just wasn't sure where he went," Melissa said. She turned and grabbed a container from a drawer behind her, "here take some of this with you for Liam. And tell Theo we have more at home. Wait. How did he get there?"

Scott and Isaac both looked at each other, confused.

"Maybe he ran?" Scott said, more as a question.

Isaac stiffened slightly. 'does she know.' he thought.

Seemingly able to read his mind, or he could just feel the uncomfortable shift in the room, Scott spoke again.

"Oh you both know everything by the way. Y'know, werewolf stuff," Melissa and Isaac both let out a sigh of relief.

"Okay, great, that makes things easier." Isaac ran a hand through his hair, "I should get going though, I'll ask him if he's still there when I get home."

"Okay bye sweety!" Melissa called, while Scott followed him to the door.

"I'm sorry," Scott whispered.

"About what? I know that, that, wasn't our original intention but it was fun," Isaac ran his thumb over the mark on Scott's neck, he shivered. "I'll see you tomorrow," He kissed him.

Scott smiled, "bye."

When Isaac pulled up to the house the lights were still on, and he could see the TV playing through the window. He turned off the car and made his way up to the house. Unlocking the door he stepped inside.

The TV was playing, but the sound was very very low. Liam was in the same spot on the couch that he had been when Isaac left, but he was asleep with his face buried in a throw pillow, and a blanket he didn't recognize.

This was a fairly normal sight. Liam has fallen asleep on the couch before. Especially now that Isaac has insisted he stay in the living room so he doesn't have to move as much. No this was all perfectly normal, and not at all why he was standing frozen in the doorway.

No, what surprised him was that, at the other end of the couch, where Liam's feet were. There was a large black ball of fluff curled up, asleep. Isaac wasn't really sure what he was thinking. He didn't mind Theo sleeping, not at all, but he was still getting used to.... dog Theo. That was his guess anyway.
