Roshni's Escape

As they had planned earlier, Aman entered Roshni's room through the window. The next day was Roshni's marriage to Farooq and he desperately hoped and wished that he would not be leaving alone this time. When he entered Roshni was sitting on the bed waiting for him. She walked to him and hugged him as soon as she saw him. There was a sense of desperation and urgency in the hug. 'Roshni what's wrong? You're fine right?' Roshni  nodded her head and held him closer to her. After some time she let go and asked him 'do you love me?' 'Roshni, what kind of question is this? Of course I love you and I will always love you and only you. 

       Suddenly the door opened and Farooq entered. Roshni and Aman were shocked seeing him there and so was Farooq to see them together. He fisted his hand and went to them with an intention to bring Aman to Mansoor. Roshni saw a glass vase near her and held it behind her back. When Farooq got close enough to them, she hit him on his head with the vase and he fell down. Aman looked shocked but he took her hand and got down the window first and helped Roshni down. 

       They started running and kept running until Roshni stopped. Aman stopped as well. She held her mouth all of a sudden and ran into the bushes and vomited. Aman rubbed her back. After she was done he said 'you really haven't been taking care of yourself right?' Roshni looked at him confused. Nausea was a common thing during pregnancy. Then it struck her that she hadn't told him yet. While Aman continued ranting about how she should take care of herself and not worry about everything and get sick, Roshni took his hand and put it on her stomach. He didn't realise it at first but then he looked down and saw where his hand was. He was very confused and asked 'what?' Roshni smiled. Aman thought about everything and finally realised what she wanted to tell him. He was blank for a moment and had an expression less face which made Roshni scared. What if he didn't want a baby now? Then, he smiled widely and looked at her. 'I'm going to be a father. Why didn't you tell me before? I'm so happy Roshni. We will have a baby.' He lifted her up and started spin her around. 

       After he put her down Aman said 'let's get married. We are going to have a baby and also if we do this our families won't be able to do anything else. Roshni agreed and Aman told Kabir, Aliyah, Rehan, Shayari and his sisters to arrange a Qazi for them and also told them everything that happened. After the marriage was over, Shayari asked 'now what will you guys do? Rehan has told me about your families and will they accept you now?' Roshni answered 'Shayari, I don't know if they will accept us or not but they won't be able to separate us anymore since we are married and also going to have a baby.' Aliya pinched Aman's ears and said 'Roshni you picked the right name for him. See he became a Baba before marriage.' Everyone laughed while Aman blushed. 

       They all left to Junaid Manzil expecting the worst. When they got there Rubina and Dadi ran to them and hugged Roshni. The were happy when they heard about their marriage. Hearing all the fuss, Junaid came out. Everyone went quiet when they saw him. Aman spoke up and said 'Abbu I know that you might be angry with what we did but we really love each other and can't live without each other. If you can't forgive us then we will leave right now.' Junaid walked to where Aman and Roshni were standing and hugged the both of them, leaving everyone surprised. He said 'who told you to say all this? Who said that you need to ask for forgiveness? It should be me who should say sorry to all of you for keeping up a rivalry which has not benefited anyone involved. Come in my children.' As it was still night they went to sleep in Aman's room.

       The next morning Aman and Roshni went downstairs for breakfast. They still hadn't broken the pregnancy news to the elders so they had to do that. During breakfast Aman said 'I want to tell you all something. I'm going to be a father.' Junaid loked at him and said 'yes Aman you will be one but not right now. It takes some time.' Aman and Roshni looked at each other and Aman said 'no Abbu I will be one in about 8 or 9 months.' 'How are you so sure?' asked Dadi. Aman gulped and said 'becauseRoshniispregnant' without stopping. No one could understand anything and Roshni looked at him with an expression that said seriously. Before Aman could speak further Roshni said ' I'm pregnant'. Everyone were happy unlike they expected and congratulated the couple. 

       'Roshni, Roshni' they heard a voice outside. Everyone went outside and saw the whole Ahmed family as well as Farooq who had a white dressing on his head. Mansoor spoke 'there you are. Howard you kidnap my daughter?' Roshni interrupted him 'Abbu nobody has kidnapped me. I'm here because I wanted to and you have no right on me any longer because I am married to Khanbaba and also I'm pregnant with our baby.' Roshni's revelation shook Mansoor, Salma and mostly Farooq. He had lost everything and couldn't do anything anymore. Mansoor was not sure whether he should celebrate they joy of being a grandfather or be sad that his daughter married into his enemy's family.
