Maya had looked at her daughter asleep in her arms while her own parents were in the room along with Josh. Katy and Shawn were quick to get the hospital to meet their granddaughter while Alan and Amy were still driving.
"She's absolutely beautiful, Maya. She looks like her mother," Shawn said as Maya saw how Alan and Amy came through the door.
"Spoiled child. Can't even wait for us to get here. And I'm not talking about the baby," Amy said as Maya exhaled.
When Maya got pregnant, Amy was the first one to judge the young couple. But it didn't seem to bother Maya as much then. Now it was a different case.
"Mom, don't start. I want you guys to meet someone. Meet Aurora Sage Matthews. Aurora, honey. Meet your grandma Amy and grandpa Alan," Josh said as Alan went closer to see his granddaughter.
"Awe how precious. Amy look at this child," Alan said as Amy looked through the white blanket.
"She looks beautiful," Amy said as Maya didn't pay much attention to Amy's behavior.
"Now since the child is born..."
"Mom, I told you when you had suggested it no. I am not going to a lawyer to get sole custody over Aurora," Josh said as Katy and Shawn looked at the older couple.
"You want Maya out of her own child's life," Katy said.
"Katy, your daughter is too young to be a mother," Amy said as Maya held onto Aurora scared of what would happen to her.
"I was pretty much the same age and my daughter turned out perfectly," Katy said.
"Want to put money on that?" Amy asked.
"Okay enough. There is nothing wrong with Maya. I'm not going to take Aurora away from her. Maya is her mother. And she always will be. And if you don't want to accept that, then maybe the problem lies with you, Mom, and not her. Maya has done everyone in her power to ensure that this child has everything she needs and if you don't want to accept her then that's your problem," Josh said.
