"Maya, what's going on in your mind?" Josh asked seeing how his girlfriend laid down their newborn baby.
"I can't believe what your mother was expecting from you. Does Amy really hate me that much?" Maya asked as Josh had exhaled.
"It's not you, Love. It isn't. My mother is obsessed with the idea of me raising my children near home and seeing her grandchildren often. She never got the opportunity to see Riley and Auggie grow up. They were to far for that to happen. And now my mother is under the impression that she can force me back to Philadelphia and see how Aurora grows. She's wrong," Josh said as Maya nodded.
"We are never going to let her see otherwise," Maya said.
"Maya, we don't have to do anything that makes her believe. This is our child - yours and mine. Not hers. Yes, Amy Matthews is Aurora's grandmother, but she will never influence what I think about you. That I can assure you," Josh said as Maya nodded.
"I got a call from Jasmine. She and Andrew wants to come through to meet Aurora. Coming soon apparently so let's enjoy the quiet," Maya said as Josh wrapped his arms around her as he saw their daughter looking at them with big gray-blue eyes.
"Yeah, Aurora. hear that? People are coming to meet you. She'll love them," Josh said as Maya had nodded.
"Yes, she will. Just like she will love everyone else. Cory is also coming down with Topanga and the kids. Riley is apparently upset that she had missed the birth of her cousin and goddaughter. Hopefully we will get the strength to deal with her," Maya said.
"We will," Josh said kissing the top of Maya's head.
