"Spears!"
You looked up at the call and grinned. Eddie walked up to your table in the library and set himself down.
"You can call me by my actual name, y'know?"
"Alright." He breathed out a laugh before taking your hand in his, "We might have to rain check tonight, Hellfire has plans."
"That's fine, I've been wanting to hang out with Charlie for a bit."
Charlie had mellowed out a bit after a couple days, not apologizing at first, but talking it out was enough for you.
"Great, we can pick this back up later." His grip loosened as he stood, "See you later."
You waved as he left the room and turned back to your book.
School would be out soon, you didn't doubt that Charlie was already waiting for you near the entrance.
"You friends with that guy?"
You jumped at the voice and turned. "Harrington, nice to see you." You smiled and went back to your book.
The boy made a face, "So, are you friends with him?"
"Eddie? Of course."
"Seriously." He took the chair next to you and leaned closer. "Is he blackmailing you?"
You grimaced and leaned back. "What makes you think that."
"You're not serious are you?" He laughed, "C'mon, you know he's, well he's a freak."
You rolled your eyes and shut your book. "Yeah, that's what everyone says." You grabbed your bag and stood. "Well, see ya later, maybe with nicer things to talk about."
He watched you stand and go to leave before he caught your arm. "Hey, I didn't mean anything by it."
"You did, but what you think doesn't matter, I'm going to make him my boyfriend soon."
You pulled away and walked out the door.
Leaving Steve Harrington behind you with wide eyes.

"You're cheery today." Charlie smiled at you from her place at your desk. "Thinking about Munson?"
You laughed. "Sure, thinking about Eddie."
You weren't really thinking of anything, Eddie was on your mind earlier, so was Harrington, but you let your mind drift around after.
"Y'know, I'm sorry about how I acted."
You paused and looked back to Charlie, she held her hands in her lap and bit her lip.
"I didn't mean anything by what I said, I just thought you and Eddie wouldn't work together."
You knew she did mean something by the way she acted, but she was your best friend, you could forgive her.
"It's okay, not everyone sees Eddie the way I do." You shrugged and sat up from your bed. "You wanna go and get a burger? I'm starving."
She nodded and you both scampered out of your room and downstairs.
"Dad!"
You dad startled at his spot on the sofa. He turned to you both with a confused look.
"Hey, can we take the car? We wanna get some burgers or something."
He shook his head, "I suppose you can, don't be out all night, even if it's Friday."
You nodded and took the keys off the hook. "Be back later!"
Charlie rushed to your dad's car and hopped in the driver's seat, she held her hands out and you chuckled.
