The sapphire sky was slowly but surely being covered in a blanket of ashen clouds. Sol had been hidden away ages ago but yet no one's spirits had been dampened.

Today was the big game everyone had been talking about for months since quiditch season had begun. Today was Slytherin versus Gryffindor and most of the morning was spent quietly placing bets on who will win.

You of course were backing Gryffindor. You, Lily and Remus stayed up for ages the night before perfecting your flags you had made supporting the house.

All morning you had been roped into helping some first years with homework and studies by professor McGonagall so, you have been unable to see Sirius and James or help set up.

You spent your whole time staring out the window at everyone helping set up for the match. You wished to see Sirius just to wish him good luck because you knew how nervous he had been the week leading up to it.

"James? James?" The brunette turned around upon hearing his name called by a familiar voice, he struggled to see who it was for a moment through all the quiditch players but soon saw you rapidly approaching with a grin.

"(Y/N)!" James smiled widely and swapped his broom to his left hand. His right arm looped over your shoulders and pulled you into a quick but tight hug.

"Have you seen Sirius?" You questioned as soon as James let go and reached up to remove some fluff from his hair.

"He's round the back of the tents." James smiled politely and you turned to walk away. "Oh, is uh, is Lily here?"
You chuckled and rolled your eyes, "Yes, she is."

Swimming through all the players, you eventually made it outside and followed the smell of tobacco until you saw Sirius. His black curls pulled into a bun with Lily's hair band and he had a bit of eyeliner smudged under his eyes where he had cleared rubbed them at some point.

He picked his head up sensing someone was there and smiled widely upon seeing you trudging through the mud round the back of the tent.

"I havent seen you all day!" Sirius exclaimed and walked over holding his broom in his right hand and cigarette in the left. "Where have you been? I've missed you."

Wrapping you in a hug, he was careful to not burn you with the cigarette he was holding.
"Nevermind that," You chuckled into his shoulder. ",I'm here now."
Sirius backed away with a smile and held your gaze.

"You're going to play so well today." You smiled and took the cigarette from between his fingers. He gave a half smile and looked down as he nodded, no self belief was his issue. "Really," You lifted his head up with your hand. ",I believe in you. You are going to play really well."

Sirius stared on at you and gave a soft nod followed by a growing smile.
"You better go, you need to get the best seats and make sure Remus isn't lost in the crowd." Sirius laughed as both of your hands fell to hold each others.

"Ok, I'll see you out there Pads." You smiled and placed a gentle kiss on his cheek.

"Yeah... I-I-I'll see you then." He waved as you dropped the cigarette and made the small jog round the corner when spotting Remus being moved with the crowd.
