"Get under the cloak, Padfoot!" Remus hissed, grabbing Sirius' robe before he could respond and pulling him under the cloak.

"This was harder than I thought," James whispered, throwing the cloak off of him and peering into the next corridor. It was empty, so he went back under and said, "It's empty. C'mon,"

Once they made it, James snatched some mistletoe from Peter's awaiting hands and then using his wand to float it towards the doorway. And then there was a large crash and cackling.

"Peeves! Let's go," Remus muttered, starting towards the way back to the Gryffindor tower as Peeves passed by, laughing loudly and zooming into the wall.

Once all four climbed inside, they ran towards the boys dormitory and hurried to bed, hoping that no one saw them putting up the mistletoe. Really, Regulus and Barty watched them, amused, but knew they weren't going to tell anyone, anyways.

"So, their annual Christmas prank this year is mistletoe," Barty stated as they quietly walked back to the Slytherin common room. They were trying to sneak back in the shadows, and although it was rather risky, it was their sixth time doing it and no one had seen them yet in all six tries.

"Yep—look out, there's one in front of us," Regulus pointed at the mistletoe hanging limply from the doorway as Barty nodded and started to walk slower than him so they didn't walk into the mistletoe together.

"Good eye, you've got. No offense, but I don't think Evan would have enjoyed that too much," Barty chuckled. Regulus just smiled and nodded and then they started to walk in sync  again as Regulus' mind started to trail back to Evan and Barty's relationship. He was still conflicted on it.

"Pureblood," Barty told the wall. It slowly melted away and revealed a dimly lit passageway, which was the way into the common room. As they got back to their beds, Evan passed by and raised an eyebrow at them.

"Be careful," Barty told Evan, who nodded. He told Regulus a simple goodnight and climbed into his bed. Regulus nodded and sat down on his own bed; after a few minutes, loud snores could be heard from the other boys' bed.

"Shut up, Padfoot," James moaned sleepily, covering his ears and trying to shut out his snores. Sirius just started to snore even louder, making James grab a pillow and chuck it at the sleeping boy, who jolted awake immediately with a bewildered face.

"What happened?" He asked as his eyes landed on James, who was glaring at him with his glasses askew on his face. He stayed silent as realization started to appear in Sirius' eyes. "Oh."

"Goodnight," Sirius smiled and then threw his curtains closed. James opened his mouth to say something but simply shut his mouth and threw his own curtains closed, deciding to yell at Sirius later.

"Christmas is in six days now!" James announced happily as he tugged his Gryffindor jumper on over his head. He heard Remus grumble about waking up too early and the sound of snoring from Peter.

Sirius, with his toothbrush still in his mouth, "We can get gifts from Hogsmeade today!"

James nodded cheerily as he ran his hand through his hair while staring into the mirror, trying to make it look somewhat nice; well, better than it already looked. "You're gonna love your gift, Pads! I already know what to get you,"

"I know I will love it. C'mon, Moony! Wormtail! Let's go get breakfast and then go out to Hogsmeade!" Sirius slid the curtains over and the sun landed in Remus' eyes, who groaned and sat up.

"Why are you both so energetic when you wake up?" Remus asked sleepily as Sirius grabbed his hand and dragged him out of bed and into the bathroom so he could get ready.
