*Third person POV*
The man knew that his creations had made it. Knew it from the moment Kaila had made the connection to Victor.
His plan was working so far.
Kaila knew that her Master was there, too.
Jax, she wasn't so sure about.
She didn't know where to find her brother.
She had connected mind links, but he had just told her to, "Stay exactly where you are. Don't move at all. I have to take care of something."
Kaila was not a stupid girl.
She knew that Jax wouldn't be able to take down their Master alone.
Even if their Master was alone.
Jax is a seriously good fighter, but not the best.
Even little Kaila knew this.
So she didn't listen.
She left, left to find her brother.
Before their Master did.
Or, at the very least, before their Master did something that could permanently hurt Jax.
Her brother, her best friend, her protector, and the only parent she's ever really had.
Of course, until William and Victor.
She loved them, and hoped that Master would stay far away from them forever.
She just wasn't sure if she could give up what she was almost certain she'd have to.
