Meticulous.

Conniving.

Shrewd.

These were words that could describe Gakuho Asano. At least, Gakushu could describe him that way.

Gakushu had his work— no, his entire life cut out for him. In most instances, he is able to cut back and create a beautiful piece of work.

Gakushu was able to pinpoint exactly how the current situation came about solely based on instinct. His father had found out through the school's official website which kept updates on all school events. He then passed that information on to Yumiko's father, who most likely required her to come.

He couldn't even bother arranging someone to accompany her, Gakushu scowled.

Gakushu and Yumiko weren't necessarily close, but they did treat each other with great respect. They considered each other "childhood acquaintances", and rarely ever spent time together outside of business required "hangouts". However, he was aware of some information from the various conversations he's had with her. From what he knew, Yumiko's parents were divorced. She got her natural ginger hair from her American mother, who moved back to the US after the divorce eight years ago.

She had a slightly similar situation that Gakushu had with his own father. Her father was a strict man, motivated solely on money, one of the main reasons why he allowed her to become a jpop idol as well as arrange a marriage between her and Gakushu.

Yumiko was a fairly shy and modest girl who Gakushu noted to have average academic intelligence. She spoke only when spoken to, which made most of their meetings dead silent.

In their house, it contained: her, her father, and the four walls of their house.

What else did he know about her? Nothing.

He pitied how passive she was, which made her even more susceptible to what her father wanted over what she wanted. Not only that, but he couldn't tell whether or not she had friends, other than her idol mates.

But at the moment, he needed to prioritize himself. Therefore, he needed to make sure that Yumiko and (Y/N) never meet. How would he do this? By making sure that he sold out first—

"What are you guys doing here?"

(Y/N) walked up to her own group of relatives. Karma, Nagisa, and Kaede were following right behind her.

"We didn't want to miss out on such an interesting event," (U/n) answered her with a beaming smile.

"Is grandma at home, watching the triplets?" She asked.

"Yeah."

"Don't you two have your own stands to attend to?" Gakushu asked both her and Karma.

"Sucks to suck, Asano," Karma cackled.

"I sold out first," (Y/N) announced triumphantly.

"We sold out at the same time," Karma corrected.

"No, we did not," (Y/N) scowled harshly, "I was already cleaning up when you sold your last plate."

Gakushu clicked his tongue once again in irritation, "Tch..."

Not only did he have to see (Y/N) and Karma interact, but his fiance was in the same room as his soulmate. As the cherry on top, he wasn't first to sell out.
