What Gakushu felt was never love at first sight.
It was a burning curiosity that ran through his veins and sparked electricity between his neurons. A need to know who she was, and what effect she would have on his ambitions and achievements.
He expected this curiosity to be satiated by extensive research on her student file. But there was only so much he could access as a mere student council president.
"Who is she?"
Upon finding out that she was his soulmate, his curiosity was paired with irritation.
Would she save him from his destiny? That was no one's responsibility, but his own. His frustration with this idea made him exhibit it on the outside, seemingly angry with her every time they crossed paths in junior high.
And yet, each time she passed by him, he wondered... Did she ever spare him a single glance or a simple thought? What effect would she have on his life?
What he felt will never be described as love at first sight. It was him, knowing deep down that she would have an effect on his life in the future. She already did, considering he could see the world in full color.
But that's what concerned him, almost scared him. It was like an existential dread.
From the very moment he could think for himself, Gakushu Asano had planned out every aspect of his life. He knew every single minute action he would take to achieve his goals.
That's why he went out of his way to avoid their connection. She was a random, spontaneous variable. She couldn't ruin his plans. He wouldn't let that happen.
But what if something worse occurred? What if he ended up changing his plans around her? What if she became his goal or his achievement?
She might just drive him crazy.
Gakushu didn't have many fears, but she made him realize one of them.
He was afraid of what he did not know.

Reliable.
Intriguing.
Those were words that described (Y/N) (L/N). Well, at least her soulmate used these words to describe her.
Gakushu gracefully woke up in his bed. His hair brushed against his eyelids. As he lifted his hand to move his hair out of his face, he felt a weight in it.
He stared at his own hand, mildly perplexed.
He did not dare form the habit of falling asleep on his phone. He sat straight up in bed, turning on his phone to see what exactly was so important that he occupied his final moments before sleep with it.

(Y/N): Um... Just realized that was twelve minutes long. You don't have to listen to it if you don't want to.
