it's been so long???? i've missed this story, i've missed you guys, i've been sneakily reading your comments and fighting the urge to respond until i've updated. so anyway i'm gonna keep it short (lie), i love y'all, cant believe we're at 90k reads??? that's so crazy, thank u guys <3333 + boring chapter (especially at the beginning) but we're getting back in the grove

you'd never been a morning person, and after the events of last night, you enjoyed waking up even less this morning. there was a grimy feeling that your morning shower couldn't remove, but like most things, you elected to ignore it. no matter how you felt about the subject, time would continue to move forward, and you'd only feel worse if you were left behind.

considering that to be enough brooding for one morning, you finally began walking to the restaurant, wondering if you'd be the last one there.

mikans voice was the first you heard as you approached, "um...anyway... what happened to fuyuhiko, nagito and [y/n]? it seems they are all...not here..."

"ah, now that you mention it, you're right..."

you opted to be nosy and listen before walking in.

"i saw fuyuhiko earlier near the hotel. i invited him to breakfast, but he declined."

hajime believed that to be in character, but the latter males whereabouts were then cast aside by akane, "who cares about nagito?!"

"he is cursed...a child who summons misfortune, so to speak."

"well..that may be but..."

gundhams declaration went nearly unnoticed by yourself as you heard nekomaru begin to speak in a shaky voice, clearly nervous:

"j-just letting you know... i don't know anything. w-without hesitation, i-i don't know anything about nagito at all!"

kazuichi was quick to join "he's right, forget him! let's just forget about that creep already!"

"...they're obviously acting suspicious, aren't they?" chiaki questioned.

to which it was instantly refuted by both the suspects. nobody could question further before monokuma gave everyone a slight jump-scare,

"what's up? did someone get kidnapped or something?"

nekomaru wasted no time capitalizing on the sudden arrival, "y-you came just at the right time!"

"hm? at the right time?"

"y-yes! uh...." he scrambled for words, "it's..[y/n]! yeah! [y/n]!"

"uhhhhhh what about her?"

"we haven't seen her all morning! well...since...last night."

figuring that now would be a good time to make your presence known, you stopped leaning on the wall and walked in,

"sorry for making you worry."

"[y/n]!" you heard a few people chorus. mildly moved at the fact that any one had taken notice and actually cared, you smiled at them but said no more. hajime had opened his mouth to say something, but was unable to say anything before monokuma made a throat clearing noise,

"now that that issue has been settled, let's get back to what's really important, me. i'm searching for something.... my valued servant...has disappeared."

you couldn't be bothered enough to listen in heavy detail to what he was saying. so while he was on his tangent about his lost monobeast, you decided to get breakfast. it'd been hours since you last ate, anyway.
