"This is foolish..." George slipped up causing everyone to turn towards him, his face turned bright red with embarrassment. Gibson must have heard the deafening silence because he entered the area going to the front of the place.
"What was it, George?" he said, with authority in his voice. He shook his skull, but he wasn't a quitter. "Reiterate what you said," Gibson repeated, putting the pressure on him.
"I didn't..." he paused.
he chuckled. "I believe you called what we are doing foolish?" The pressure was on George to explain his reasoning. "George, stand up, run up here so everybody can see you," he demanded. He struggled to stay put, but the pressure got to him and he stood up standing beside Gibson.
"George, tell me, do you think what we are doing here is foolish?" he asked, hoping to get him to repeat it again.
"No..." he grumbled. All eyes were on him.
"So tell me George? Would you prefer to be a homosexual forever? Do you wish to live a sinful life? Do you wish to be hated by everybody around you?" he chided, walking around the stage looking at everyone.
"No..." George stammered,
"Speak louder!" he yelled.
"I said no," he replied so everyone could hear him.
"Okay then say it George, repeat what I say. 'I am not a homosexual, I am a child of God, being a homosexual is a sin and I am not a sinner'," Gibson chanted.
All minds were on him. he glanced at Sapnap for some kind of support, but Sapnap refused to catch his view. He raised his eyebrow.
"George? Are you a sinner?" he flashed his gaze at he and the other members in their seats.
"No..." George uttered, only to be reproached by Gibson.
"Are you a sinner?"
"I'm not..." he started, but he yelled into his ears.
"You are a sinner! But, God is forgiving..." he calmed down as if he didn't just scream at him. He walked over to a few of the staff members whispering into their ears.
"George, you should go with Jim and Sean. They will pray over you." Gibson smiled, which made him instantly uncomfortable. George had the urge to run from the faculty, but he didn't want to be perceived the same way as Dream, so he nodded his head following the personnel.
The meeting went back to normal behind him, when he approached the doors which he had seen Dream pass through several times. He didn't expect to see what was behind the doors so soon.
The halls were long and different rooms could be observed. He tried to look for Dream, taking a small glance through the doors as he passed. The staff didn't pay any mind, just led the way.
When he had spotted Dream, he was sitting on the floor in what looked like a padded chamber. Dream got up, glaring at George. The staff noticed he was no longer following and turned around. Dream was bruised up, his eye bruised closed.
"George, come," The man grabbed his arm which caused Dream to bang on the door. No noise was made and he knew the door was also padded. He gave Dream one last glance before following the men.
When George entered the prayer room he wanted to ask them about Dream but instead they asked him to go onto his knees into a praying position, there were more staff members in the room, they smiled at him kindly.
he tried to tell himself it was for the best and that this would help him but all he could see was the fear in Dream's eyes. Why was Dream bruised, did he do that to himself? Were they forced to do that to Dream?
he's mind was racing as the staff member began their prayers hoping it would take his gay away, at some point George thought the same and he still did but why did Dream get treated differently.
-
He tried to see Dream on his way out of the area but the staff were on top of him not letting him stop for anything.
When he exited the mysterious doors all the other members were gone, more than likely in their cabins. He followed them to his cabin, they smiled at him before leaving him to sleep.
George went over all the day's events in his head trying to think of Dream, what were they hiding from the members, what were in all those other rooms? How could he sleep after seeing the way Dream reacted to seeing him behind the mysterious doors.
His night was restless and he knew he had to talk to Sapnap about what he had seen behind the doors. Tell him about the condition Dream was in, tell them how they prayed his gay away.
-
George followed the group as soon as he was left alone he went over to Sapnap sitting down across from him, Eret and Karl where nowhere to be found.
"Where's everyone else?" he asked as soon as he sat down, Sapnap shrugged his shoulders.
"They told us to keep our distance from you..." Sapnap whispered, he was extremely nervous, more than usual.
"Okay, I will go away, I just need to tell you about Dream." Sapnap's eyes widened,
"No, you can't, you're not allowed to share anything about the program."
he raised his eyebrow, "But Dream?"
Sapnap stopped him again, "I can't talk to you..." and with that Sapnap walked far away from him as if he had the plague. George looked around and everyone refused to catch his eyes as if looking at him would kill them.
Was this all because he struggled to copy Gibson's words? Did they think being around he would make them more gay? It made no sense, he got his prayers...
George could care less about the other members reaction, he was all too caught up in Dream. Why did Dream look terrified when he saw him? What really happens behind those doors...
