Closing the toilet lid, she groaned as her stomach growled even louder than before.

Jesus, I feel like my intestines are shriveling up, thought Sabrina as she grasped her abdomen, closed the toilet's lid, and flushed.

She left the cubicle and rested her palms on the sink. Opening the faucet weakly, Sabrina cupped her hands and splashed her face. She wiped her face with her sleeve and didn't bother glancing at the mirror. She took the papers she and Marinette composed, and held on to them.

She's felt light-headed and nauseous for quite some time. Her knees buckled as she made her way to the faculty room. But she couldn't be too obvious. "I can't tell them I broke up with him again," mumbled Sabrina to herself.

It only lasted two weeks too.

Sabrina still couldn't help but feel empty even though their relationship didn't last too long. This was the third time they've been together although both Lila and Marinette advised her to refuse Damond's constant advances.

She couldn't sleep, nor did she have the appetite to eat anything for a while. Her body didn't mind the misery, but the blunette wouldn't stand for it if she knew.

After knocking three times on the faculty room's door, she came in. "Good noon."

"Our vice president, what brings you here, too?" asked Miss Caline Bustier, Lycée Carnot's most loved teacher due to her kind demeanor. She took a folder from another student.

"The notes miss, from our last meeting," said Julien, secretary of the student council.

She flipped through it and smiled considerately. "Yes, this will do, thank you. Sorry, what was that, Sabrina?"

"Miss, I'm here to submit some proposals for future school events that the president and I put together. Please tell us if it needs any revision," said Sabrina politely, handing the papers.

"I'm sure you all did a good job. Thank you." She straightened the papers, put them in a new folder, and labeled it with a marker.

Sabrina responded, "Thank you as well. I'll take my leave."

The girl ambled toward the canteen's direction, and entered.

The smell of fresh food began filling her nostrils, as the raucous chatter and rowdy gossip of students met her ears. She inhaled the warm air, rubbing her arms. Being in the canteen full of people and the aroma of food, was somehow comforting. It brought her spirits up in a way she couldn't understand.

Sabrina then took a tray and the money Marinette had given her. That friend of her's had the most money among the three of them. She forced Lila to quit her part-time job as a server, as it was in the way of her dream of being an actor. She didn't even mind paying for Lila's mortgage.

Lining up to buy some food, she could sense someone insert themselves behind her. She chose not to pay much attention to them. Sabrina dragged her tray to the right, as a satisfied student received the last piece for his lunch, and left to sit at a table.

There were an array of dishes before her, each fragrance intermingling with the other, simply resulting in an inviting, tempting, smell.

Among them, a delectable sandwich caught her eye. It had thinly-cut slices of gleaming ham, melted comté cheese, and creamy béchamel sauce all in between warm pain de mie. Out of all, this was a filling and delicious dish Sabrina deemed her favorite.

"I'll have the Croque monsieur with egg, please? And sweet lemon juice"—she handed the money Marinette gave her, receiving her food quickly—"thank you." The lunch ladies were quite efficient.
