It's become much colder in Paris, especially for the students in Lycée Carnot.

Every morning, having to go to school early and catch up on several lessons. It was admittedly arduous to force new information into your head each day, let alone memorize it. Besides that, nothing eventful. There weren't any akumas lately as well.

Wake up, dress up, go to school, get home, sleep, repeat.

It was tedious. They were somehow able to tolerate it though. Perhaps because of the upcoming holiday?

As the smell of dusty books and wood permeate the dim library, the warm current of air from the heaters circulates around the room. Sunlight could barely peek through the magenta-colored curtains.

Streaks of it have still managed to creep up the tables and chairs, causing glimmering dust to be visible. Three particular students study and review for the next classes, sitting in comfortable silence.

"You didn't have to accompany me," whispered Marinette, at the same time, highlighting her notes.

"I'm not hungry anyway," said Lila absent-mindedly.

"No worries." The orange-haired girl stood up to stretch her limbs. "We have a biology test tomorrow too," said Sabrina, sitting back down. "And...that's a Physics book."

"I've studied for it already. I'll review tomorrow morning," said Marinette.

"Oh wow," remarked Sabrina, rubbing her forehead. "Ugh, my head hurts."

"Huh. Can't relate." Lila snickered.

"Don't you have a philosophy test on Thursday?" asked the blunette, eyes refusing to tear away from her notebook.

"No, we did that yesterday since something came up with the teacher," she told her proudly, "so I'm not that paranoid about anything. Suffer I guess." Lila smiled in satisfaction. "Didn't I tell you?"

"She must've forgotten," said Sabrina while holding in a laugh, interrupting Marinette's answer. "You know, after memorizing our schedules and taking our classes just to see us."

"Must be hard loving us so much," Lila added, picking up a pen and spinning it between her fingers.

"Taking every opportunity to rub it in my face huh?" She looked at them with a sour expression. "Kind of regretting doing all that for a bunch of assholes," said Marinette bitterly.

"Hey, be careful what comes out that mouth"—she pouted, tilting her head slightly—"we skipped lunch for you."

"I didn't ask you to." The other rolled her eyes.

"Don't lie," Lila retorted.

"I'm not?" said Marinette, scrunching her nose.

"Says the one obsessed with Sabrina and me."

She interrupted her. "Oh yeah? Watch me stop paying for your mortgage."

"Hey, I was just kidd—"

"Can you two shut up so I can focus? You look like you're arguing in a courtroom," Sabrina whisper-shouted, stomach growling. "My headache's getting worse thanks to you guys. See? My stomach's acting up now too."

"Why come to school then?" said both of them simultaneously.

"And you're the one who started it." Marinette folded her arms.

She ignored her. "I don't know how I'm still managing this stream, honestly." She took off her glasses and closed a book, looking at Lila. "You're lucky, with littéraire as your stream."
