"Do you need any assistance, Bai He?" Dáinn inquired, his voice smooth as velvet.

"Umm, yeah. How do we get down?" Bai He replied, her eyes scanning the room.

A series of clicks echoed through the room as a hidden panel slid aside, revealing a narrow, winding staircase. "My apologies, I should have considered that beforehand," Dáinn admitted, a hint of amusement in his voice.

Bai He rolled her eyes playfully. "Seriously?"

"Just teasing," he chuckled. "The stairs are over there." He gestured towards the obvious staircase on the opposite side of the room.

Excitement sparked in Bai He's eyes as she darted towards the stairs. "Let's goooo!"

Dáinn's expression softened as he watched her eager steps. "Careful, Bai He," he cautioned gently. "Take your time."

Timeskip a few minutes

"Oh yeah, you haven't told me how you caught my cat so fast. How did you do it?" Bai He wandered around the ice cream truck, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Dáinn chuckled softly. "Well, I'm a demon," he replied simply. His tone was casual, as if stating the obvious.

Bai He's eyes widened in surprise. "What?" she exclaimed, her voice filled with disbelief. Ignoring her reaction, Dáinn changed the subject. "What flavor of ice cream do you want?" Bai He blinked, her mind still processing the revelation about Dáinn. "Wait, are you buying it for me?"

A hint of confusion crossed Dáinn's face. "Huh? Of course, I am. Why wouldn't I?" Bai He's eyes widened in disbelief. "Wow, I feel like I just won the lottery!" She squealed with delight. "Okay, uh, I want two scoops of vanilla, on a cone."

"Very well then, please have a seat, Bai He. And I shall bring it for you." Bai He blinked, her confusion growing. "What seat?" she asked, her voice laced with disbelief.

Dáinn pointed to an empty space on the bustling street. "That one, right over there." Bai He's jaw dropped. "What? I swear this wasn't here before." Dáinn simply nodded, a serene expression on his face. "It doesn't matter. Please, take a seat."

Bai He gestured wildly at the nonexistent chair. "IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD?"

Dáinn's expression remained unchanged. "In the middle of...What?"

Bai He stared at the spot where the chair had been, but it was gone. Confused, she whipped her head around and saw it sitting calmly on the sidewalk.

"Again, I swear it wasn't there before!" Bai He turned her head back to Dáinn, who was already scooping ice cream. He glanced over, a casual shrug accompanying his words, "Again, it doesn't matter. Please, take a seat"

She crossed her arms, pouting as she sat down on the sidewalk. Dáinn approached, carrying the ice cream on a silver tray with a cone stand for his Master.

Just as he was about to hand her the treat, a shadowy figure collided with him, sending the tray tilting dangerously. With a quick, deft move, Dáinn managed to catch the ice cream, preventing a sticky disaster. "Phew, that was close," he breathed, relief evident in his voice.
