October 2026  London  Sixth year of the end of the Great Purge

Sherlock was thrilled to hear that the small doctor had dared to challenge his brother.

He hadn't met anyone that interesting in a long time, his body clamored with songs of conquest.

He wasn't into at one-night stands, so he was craving a love affair? If you like to offer your heart as a sacrifice, why should I bother to be so polite.

When I crush your heart to pieces, you'll regret the foolishness of refusing my offer.

Not boring at last, Sherlock grinned.

In doing so, Irene took an interest in a bet with Sherlock on whether Sherlock could take down that doctor in two months.

The bet was that whoever wins will do something for the other for free, no matter what had they ask.

Sherlock happily agreed, they even made a deal, with Moriarty having the honour of being a witness.

The game is on, the rules are set by me, and Sherlock's mind went to work, trying to get every battle plan perfect.

The doctor's schedule, his hobbies, his diet and his habits, his work, his social life, everything was laid out on Sherlock's desk.

He studied every aspect of the doctor's life as if he were solving a crime.

The doctor seemed to be a very simple man, living a very simple life.

But after their several encounters, Sherlock knew that the doctor was not as simple as he seemed.

The rest was uneventful, expect for the doctor's record in the Great Purge.

It only mentioned that he had harbored some important criminal, but neither the names of the criminals nor the facts of the crime was there.

As if some one had wiped out those record on purpose.

Good, this unknown past could be Sherlock's breakthrough.

Little did he know, John's past was far more complicated than he could have imagined.

And that he, himself, had played such an important role in John's life.

Sherlock found the deleted Sally Donovan from the trash bin.

Her relationship with the doctor was unusual and, more importantly, she had been discharged along with John.

She must know something.

Fact-finding, that's Sherlock's forte.

He investigates everything about Sally, a former policewoman, a woman who has been single since.

The scars on her neck were made in prison for reasons unknown.

Like John, she's riddled with secrets.

What a thrill for Sherlock Holmes.

When he finds Sally, he was rejected as he expected.

After a careless rendition of the her weekly routine, Sherlock advised her to take care of her poor uterus, which must had been knocked up more than once in prison.

The expected storm didn't come , the odd woman just looked at him with an amused grin.

"Oh yes," she finally replied, "I've been raped more than once, had several miscarriages resulting in lifelong infertility, and left with this ugly scar." Sally's eyes were filled with tenderness and compassion as she brushed the scar on her neck, "but those are my memories and I have no desire to share them with you."
