Tiara

It was 10 am and I was still lying in bed. My eyes weren't swollen with tears anymore, but I was still upset.

"Tiara, wake up already!" Sarah grumbled. "We need you for tonight's move."
I jumped up. "What move?! Sarah, is this another thing you haven't told me?"

"I told you this morning!" she yelled. "It was like, 20 minutes ago. You must've forgot."

"Oh." I plopped back on the floor.

"How's she doing?" asked Earn, walking next to Sarah.

"She's...in a mood." she admitted. "It's probably low blood sugar or something;she hasn't eaten anything since yesterday."

It was true. I was starving, but I couldn't eat. I just wanted all of this to be over.

"Uh oh, looks like her powers are acting up now." Earn mumbled so I wouldn't be able to hear, but unluckily for him, t-trux have excellent hearing.

I looked at my arms and saw that they were both metal and realized my hip felt weird. I slowly turned over and saw a hot purple t-trux tail with a large wrecking ball with spikes attached to a chain. I guess I was more upset then I thought.

I took deep breaths and soon my tail disappeared and the metal arms were replaced with my regular arms. Sarah and Earn looked really relieved.

"Oh good, you almost went full t-trux." Earn hugged me tightly. "And no offense, but I really don't want a t-trux for a little sister."

"I'm already half t-trux." I said, trying to get my arms out of the hug. "Also, I can't breathe."

He let me go so I could breathe and we went to get breakfast. It felt really good to get some food in my stomach. Then we discussed where we should get our new home.

"I say we just go deeper in the sewers." Tom suggested. "It'd take too long to move the stuff up. The police would've caught us by then."

"But the police would be searching the sewer system too." Jenny said. "Maybe if we move further from civilization, we could stand a better chance."

"But then how would we get supplies?" Raina pointed out. "We should do the exact opposite of that, move smack in the middle of the city. That way we could get more food."

"But we'd get caught instantly. They've got posters with our pictures on it everywhere." Earn said, knowing that from experience.

"I say, we change our identities and rent separate apartments for each of us. We'd get day jobs and grow up to be founders of big companies. I'll be Jake-Dude." Jake suggested.

We all looked at him as if he'd just said that goats had 8 legs.

"First of all, how would we get day jobs? We're 12." Sarah asked. "And second, Jake-Dude is a terrible name. Why would you name your child that?"

Jake raised his finger and opened his mouth to make a point, but no words came out and the mouth stayed open.

"You guys are way over-thinking this." Kita said. "I say when the coppers come knocking, we surprise them with an all-out attack!"

"We're talking about at least 20 grown men here." I pointed out. "It's best if we avoid fighting as much as possible."

Kita groaned. "Well then what do we do? We'd have a better chance of fighting a t-trux than trying out any of our options."

"A t-trux..." I mumbled, turning my arm metal. "Hmm..."

"I know that face." Earn chuckled atme."That's your 'I've-got-an-idea-that-I-really-think-

is-gonna-work' face."

"Yup." I answered. "Everyone pack. We're going to the jungle."
