I've Had Enough

Part 4

* Eraser's POV *

It wasn't supposed to end this way . But I couldn't escape it . Everything had gone wrong . The world was in flames around him . And it was all his fault, agh .

   I was following him , the most wanted vigilante " Soulless ", which is the most case that dragged trouble to me . It's been almost two years since he started showing up , and I  took the case a year ago . Though I've never took that long catching any villain or vigilante, he could always escape me ..just how?! He's making me suspect I grew old !!
    Anyway, it was till this night that I caught track of him , I kept on following him and insisted on doing so till he's in my hands . However, fate had other plans .. Endeavour was there .
   I've asked him not to interfere cuz it's MY CASE , but who am I talking to ?! ENDEAVOUR . He went after him with a killing will , not even bothered by the fact that he's a fucking human or that he's the NUMBER TWO HERO THAT MUST BE A DAMN IDOL . I internally slapped myself and cursed my luck , but what can I do ?! I kept trying to catch him by any means of capture I have , while stupid Endeavour kept throwing fire balls towards him . Away from the fact that soulless dodged it professionally, these fireballs were first not supposed to be legally used in such situations , and second he was recklessly throwing them left and right leaving a mess behind us . How the hell is he the nb two hero ?!

    This lasted for a good time , before a screaming was heard from an alleyway . Although soulless was followed by two heroes, he still didn't think twice before heading to offer help and save people . I must admit the feelings of respect I hold for him , yet I'm doing my job and his actions are illegal to my knowledge. We ended up in a narrow and dark alleyway after a while , since the vigilante sped up and was there before us . What a waste of talent !! I feel the need to know this vigilante more for some reason . However, when we both got there and a woman was running away while , what seemed a villain, was laying unconscious on the ground. Impressive I must say . STILL Endeavour didn't give him a break , I'm not saying he should ,but dude .. he's not trying to catch him but FUCKING KILL HIM . I bet Soulless knew the hard situation he was going to be in after taking this route , and specifically in such a narrow alleyway . Even so , I couldn't stand still while Endeavour kept on throwing flames  here and there lighting the whole place with flames . I tried to stop him and make him leave it to me , but who am I talking to again?!
   He made me angry so I used my quirk on him , but before that, and in a part of the second ,a huge fireball was flying towards the vigilante that was already surrounded by a circle of flames . After the fireball collided with the wall behind the vigilante, I immediately rushed to check on him but all I found was a stickynote on the ground , a green one , that said : " Good luck next time loser . ;) SL "
When did he ..?! I ignored my thoughts and all the chaos in my brain , and stormed towards Endeavor. I literally lost my sane at the moment cause I was yelling :
"Who with his whole mind ranked you as the nb two hero ??? WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU TRYING TO DO ?? KILL HIM ?! HEAR ME OUT ENDEAVOR , IF IT'S NOT YOUR FUCKING DAMN BUSINESS THEN DON'T STICK YOUR NOSE INTO THINGS THAT DON'T CONCERN YOU ...."
He was standing there with a grumpy face and with tons of words that he wanted to yell at me , but I left before he does . Not afraid of that dumbass , but not wanting to drag my ass into more problems that would get me nothing but a headache. Nonetheless, I was concerned about the vigilante, there's noway in hell he could've escaped that ! I am certainly sure that he's somewhere out there , I kinda have a feeling he wasn't that far .I kept on searching and searching till I spotted him in an alleyway all surrounded by.. blood ?!!! I hid on the roof trying my best to hide my presence and watch what he was going to do . I saw him untie the piece of cloth he was wrapping around his thigh while wincing in pain. Once he did , more blood poured , in result he threw his head back and closed his eyes tight before splashing the burn he got from Endeavor with water . I felt my heart clench at the scene before me , I couldn't leave him like this . I was willing to get down , yet before I did so I heard him talk while standing up :" Hello eraser ~ wanna take your turn?!"
I didn't know how he spotted me ,but all I wanted for now was to keep him here ,since the last thing I wanted for him was to move with such an injury.
" Maybe another time Soulless. How's your leg ?"
" Ohhh so we get to see your soft side hahaha ?! Pretty good as you can see ;)"
I mentally slapped myself for the stupid question .
" OK . Stupid question .🙄"
" I know there's something, spill it ."
"Well there is , but are we gonna talk this way ?!"
He gave a thought then replied :
" I'm coming up to the opposite roof , but I warn you , No . Stupid . Moves :) I won't hold back ."
" yeah yeah "
A moment of silence was filling the place before Aizawa broke it :
" Look , tbh all I want is to help you . Let me take you to a hospital to get that checked up ."
" Hah ,  and get caught ?! In your dreams Eraser "
" Fine. What about I check it ? I have a background on first aid , I could provide some help ."
"I appreciate your will to help , yet I can't risk it .. Welll, if that's it ,then I'm going ."
Soulless stood up , and right before he jumped eraser screamed :" WAIT"
"What?"
"Why..why do you do it ? You know with such skills you could be easily a hero .."
"well.. I guess life just hates me, and so I ended up here."
"What do u mean ?"
"Investigating, are we ?! ;) look zawa.."
"Zawa??!"
"Like in Aizawa , zawa..don't u like it ?! :3"
"How do you know my name ??!"
" Not just your name ;) However, what I wanted to say is that I admire u , but I'm not spilling any information . Good luck next time ."
And with that said he jumped over the roof and disappeared into the dark . I rushed to check on him , but he wasn't there . Ig his quirk has something to do with agility,speed, or transportation . I willed to know more about him . And what made it harder was the fact that he had his face all covered, along with a voice changing mask that made it harder to recognize his age . He sure had a tiny figure , but there's noway he's under 20 years cause nobody with such agility and profession would be . Plus , the fact that his equipment isn't found anywhere,which proves my point , in means that he must have either made it or bought it from villains which no teen could have done either . Still and all , I feel a persistent need to know more which led me to calling Tsukauchi in order for him to fill me with all the details he has about him.
I finished my patrol , sent Tsukauchi a msg , and went to my apartment. Once I arrived , I threw myself on bed and allowed sleep to take over me .
