Hello! I'm going to make the first chapter of this tomorrow because it's 1:40 in the morning for me rn but I didn't want to forget about this. I wanted to tell you all about how my omegaverse is. Of course it can be different than others and my stories are never perfect but I hope whoever reads this story when I make the chapters enjoy it anyway!
Omegas: Omegas are technically at the bottom of the list and the food chain. They have heats that can last up to a week, without medicine like heat suppressants, every once in a while. Some can get lucky and not have it as often while others can have it once a week every month. In rare cases, like Yams in this story, their heats are irregular and it's hard to tell when it's going to start. Male Omegas are pretty rare to find and when they are found they are usually assaulted or treated like treasure. If you're a purebred Omega then you're at the very bottom of the food chain my friend and I apologize.
Alphas: Alphas are at the very top of the food chain and are usually treated with respect. If you are a purebred Alpha then you are pretty powerful in this world and can choose to fight other Alphas for dominance. That's usually a rare case though, most of them will work in groups or in a pack. Alphas do not have heats but can smell Omegas when they are having a heat. Every single omega has a different smell, either good or bad.
Betas: Betas are kind of like normal humans but with a bit of a twist. Betas can not bond or mate with an Alpha, however, they can still be in a relationship and adopt with said Alpha. Betas do not have heats like Omegas and can not smell Omegas when they are in their heat. However, Betas can bond and mate with an Omega.
One last thing! Soulmates do exist in this world but they are rare to find. You can tell who your soulmate is but it takes a lot of time and focus, if you have the time for that. The way you can know is by if an Alpha or Beta is with an Omega or even just simply knows a certain Omega and they smell sweeter or stronger than other Omegas then it could be your soulmate. The problem is that you would have to smell a lot of other Omega scents to know if that certain Omega's scent is strong or not.
