"Okay, let's get started. My name is officer Powell, and I'm the chief of police here at Hawkins Police Department." He introduced.

"Yeah... uh, I sort of know... that's kind of why I'm here..." You start, "Well you see, at 2:30 a.m. today, I was riding my skateboard... in the year 2026."

"I'm sorry? That's 40 years from now, and you barely look 18." He argued.

"Yeah I'll, uh, I'll get to that... You see I'm only 17, and when I was a freshman in high school a show on TV called Stranger Things, had ended. The show was placed in Hawkins, Indiana, and the main characters were high schoolers who attended Hawkins High." You explained.

"And... what does that mean exactly?" He asked.

"Well, it means that I know you weren't always the chief of police, and that supposedly before you chief of police officer Hopper... well Jim Hopper, had died."

"Supposedly?"

"Yeah, we'll get to that. You see, in my life, your life, was simply a TV show played by actors. Although somehow hundreds of people and I ended up here."

He laughed, "So basically, what you're saying is that I'm a character... from a show? And that you and these other people came from... the future? I'm sorry but can we be a little more serious with this?!" Officer Powell snapped. You could see that he was beginning to get frustrated.

"Does it look like I'm joking?" You sigh, "Look I don't want to be here any more than you want me here, so please just listen to what I have to say." You plead.

"Alright go ahead."

"At 3:00 in the morning I got a call asking if I was willing to take a deal of a lifetime. Of course I answered no and simply hung up, but at about 3:45 I started to feel dizzy heading home, my board started to shake and the vision of my house turned into what seemingly looked like a forest, and that's when I ended up here. At 4:00 my phone turned on-"

"Sorry to interrupt, but why do you have a house phone in the woods?" He questioned.

"Ah here comes the proof," you say as you dig around in your pockets to find your phone. You pull it out and lay it on the table, "Proof that I'm a time traveler." You joke.

He picks up the device, "What is this?"

"A phone." You answer, while picking it up and turning it on.

The screen immediately turned on and revealed a picture of you and your family with the words and numbers, March 15th, 8:03 a.m.

"What in the world-?"

"Oh and these," you continue, pulling out your headphones. "Put this in your ear." You tell him gesturing to his left ear, "I'm going to turn music on, and we're both going to be able to hear it. Without plugging them in, without pressing any buttons. Watch."

Unlocking your phone and pressing play on Spotify, the officer remained confused.

"How? How is it doing that?" He questioned.

"Magic." You tease, "I'm joking, our technology is far more advanced than that of now." You inform him, "Almost everyone in 2026 has one of these." You tell him.

"I, uh, I see..." He pondered, taking out the headphone, "Please continue what you were saying prior to this conversation."

"Oh yeah, where was I?" You think, "Ah, okay, as I was in the woods at around 4:00 a.m. my phone turned on and played what seemed like a video. It was of a man who told us that we were part of an experiment, and that... we were trapped in this TV show. Without family, and without shelter." You tell Officer Powell.

"And then you came here? I'm just assuming." He added.

"Yes." You confirm, "Do you... believe me?"

"Ah, well..." He said standing up, pushing in his chair, "As hard as that was to believe, it's the only evidence I have to hold on to, so far." He tells you, "After I interview a few more people... if the stories match up, I will film a video for the news." He concluded, gesturing for you to leave the room.

Getting up you took your phone and headphones, shoving them back into your pockets.

As you pushed in your chair, you realized you forgot to tell him your name, "Oh! One more thing officer, my name is Y/N L/N. If, uh, if you needed it... I forgot to give it to you earlier." You tell him with a smile, picking up your skateboard.

"Oh yes, my apologies for not asking sooner, thank you."

You nod in response heading through the door.

"Was there anything else I could do for you?" Officer Powell asks you, as you head through the station doors.

"Uhh," you consider, "Do you think, maybe, you could possibly lend me a couple of dollars?" You ask.

"I, uh... you know what, yeah. I can give you ten dollars." He tells you, opening his own wallet.

"You have no idea how much this means to me, thank you." You acknowledge, accepting the money.

"Get yourself something to eat." He tells you.

"I will, thank you again." You tell him, walking out the door.

After looking at the prices of everything you realized $10 was a fortune. Holy crap... DOLLAR THIRTY FOR A BURRITO. Your internal narration screams while walking past a Mexican restaurant. Do I... wait, do I have money in my phone case? NO SHOT OH MY GOSH. DO I??
You wonder, taking off your phone case.

As the case comes off two twenty dollar bills fall out. I am a fvcking genius, thank you, dead grandpa, for this fortune.

After walking around a bit, you decide to sit and think at the park. Sitting on a bench with your skateboard next to you, it finally sinks in. I am... in a TV show... fvvvvckkk dude. How the hell am I gonna... mmm. I need a job... holy sh*t, and somewhere to sleep, "WAIT."

Grabbing your phone, you check to see if your contacts are still there, and in fact they are.

*bee-*

"Mom??" You ask.

*Your call has been forwarded-*

"Sh*t," you think, "my mom's only like 6 right now." You groaned, resting your head in your hands.

After a while you decide to call someone who might be in the same situation as you. Someone who... you may or may not have stayed up with all night watching Stranger Things with.... multiple times.

*bzz* *b-*

Picking up almost immediately the person on the other side of the phone sounds distressed, "Char!?"

"Y/N? HOLY CRAP DUDE, WHAT THE EFF IS GOING ON. I'M LITERALLY SH*TTING MY PANTS RIGHT NOW." She screams.

"I didn't need to know that," you laugh, "Where are you? Let's meet up, and then..." you gulped, "we'll figure out what to do."

"Oh smart, smart. I'm uh, at like, this uh... uhhh." She continues, "It looks kinda like a gas station, but imma be honest, I don't really know." She finishes.

"Of course you don't." You sigh, "Are there any like signs nearby? Anything? Come on Char, think."

"Uhhh, I'm walking around it, hold on..." she pauses, "Like, Rocket Gas, it says. There might be more so when you ask someone, ask for the one with trees in front of it, and water behind."

"Dude what?" You question, with a sigh, "Uh, okay, yeah. I'll find you, just... stay there, and, uh, don't die."

"Gotcha!" She reassured, before hanging up.

"Stupid, stupid, person." You laugh, putting your phone back into your pocket, you check the time, it is currently 9:30. "Woah, talk about vertigo." You retort, grabbing your head.
