THEN IT HAPPENED
So sad you didn't experience
My birthday and all;
I feel so sad.I waited for months;
I wanted to feel,
Have a feel
Of a birthday again;
It is so irreplaceable.Then it happened,
I became sixteen.It happened.
My waiting, waiting for months;
It all stopped.
I became a year older;
I'm older than you, y'know.It happened.
February ninth came at last,
The glory of a birthday;
It happened again.FEB. 9
On this day,
I was born;
Commanded to be a magic.A magic to the world;
Tame me if you can.SIXTEEN
I woke up to a cold morning;
Just like everyone.
Yet, I felt different
Like I was a new man.No one was inside the house;
Very unusual.
Curious, I stepped out,
Only to get tricked.I got welcomed by buckets of water.
It was really wicked;
Drenched in that wicked harmattan.The water said it all ;
I felt different,
Like I was in for the world's wickedness.
I felt prepared;
I felt sixteen.
