Kyoka stretched as she entered the common room, only to find three of her best friends covered in blood. She sighed and walked over to the table, kissing Johnny's clean cheek as she sat down beside them. "Good morning men."
"Hello Pretty Lady."
"Hi Kyoka!"
"Hi Jiro!"
"Midoriya, I can understand why these two look like they were in a slasher film, but YOU?"
"JoJo blew up a guy."
"He's alive!" Johnny protested. "His stand was based on arm wrestling, and it destroyed the arm of the loser. He lost fair and square, and now his arm is all over us."
"And...the three of you are just eating breakfast?"
"I was hungry!" Gyro said, jabbing at a plate of eggs with his fork. "I...probably shouldn't have put hot sauce on this..."
"Don't eat it."
Gyro prceeded to take a big bite of his eggs, and Kyoka deadpanned.
"Frankly, a guy with an arm wrestle stand is kind of weak. I mean, he blows up if anyone is stronger than him."
"I don't know JoJo, his arm was really big." Izuku said.
"No kidding, his bicep was like a Thanksgiving turkey." Johnny responded. "That's an American holiday if you didn't know."
"Well, Tusk probably snapped his arm in two, right?" Kyoka said, and Johnny shook his head. "Wasn't allowed to use it, would have been an automatic loss for 'cheating.'"
"So...you were just stronger than him."
"He didn't say no Spin. I just used it to make his muscles go all wonky, and next thing I knew his arm went off like a bomb. It got all over poor Tsuyu too, she ran off to go take a shower."
"I felt so bad, she's always been so sweet!" Gyro said. "And then we doused her with the blood of our enemies. We should do something to make it up to her."
"Yeah...hey JoJo?"
"Hm?"
"Has Eri talked to you at all? She's been avoiding me like the plague."
Johnny frowned and shook his head. "She feels really bad about what happened...it really wasn't her fault, she can't control her quirk! But...Gramps is young now..."
"How is he taking it?"
"He called Grandma, she might be coming to see him. He's...sulking, and it's worrying me. Joseph Joestar isn't one to sulk."
"Well, he's...going to live even longer now, maybe even longer than your dad. That's some real heavy shit that he has to deal with." Gyro said, sharing Johnny's frown. "There really isn't anything we can do about it though...we just have to help him come to terms with it."
"Yeah..." Johnny said. "You know...people often call him the luckiest Joestar, and to an extent they're right. But...he might also be the unluckiest. He's been through more than the rest of us, from the Pillar Men, to DIO, to the Steel Ball Run, he's lived through all of it. Almost every single horrible thing to happen to our family, he's been there to see it. He'll BE there to see horrible things in the future. It's like the universe is refusing to give him a break."
Kyoka grimaced. "I remembered how he stepped up to help me with Cummings, I have never seen the man so angry...and when that creep was threatening you, he LOST it. I mean, he unlocked a whole new version of his stand. Do you think he needs help? Like, a therapist or something?"
"If it comes down to it..." Johnny replied. "Man...this hits harder than my mom ever did."
Kyoka's mouth fell open as Johnny began to smirk. "You did NOT just say that."
