NICO'S POV:

Annabeth wouldn't leave her cabin unless to go to Percy's. She seemed to carry a black cloud everywhere she went, keeping her head down. It pained me to see her like this. We may not have always been close, but after everything we've been through, she and Percy may be the only others who know the horrible sights of Tartarus, and I can't count on my hands how many times they've saved me. I couldn't help but care whether she was ok or not. She constantly has friends begging for her to move around more. Will has to take hours to convince her to eat or drink anything. All she wants to do is lay in bed and stare into nothing. It's been like that for weeks, but no one was alright. spars seemed so sad, and no one could bring themselves to ride the canoes. Few campers were able to tame the horses enough to feed them. The oceans haven't calmed since Percy was taken.

Piper and Hazel decided that enough was enough, and one night practically dragged Annabeth to the pavilion for dinner. She didn't eat anything yet at least she left her cabin. I sat at the Hades table, talking quietly with my sister. About halfway through I started to feel a buzzing in my head. At first, I thought someone had died, but this felt different. I looked in the direction the sound seemed to be coming from. My eyes landed on the Athena cabin. I scanned everyone at the table, and when my attention landed on Annabeth the buzzing increased painfully. I hissed, holding my ears.

" Nico? What's wrong?" Hazel put her hand on my arm.

" I- I need to go." I got up from my seat. I walked over to the Apollo table, several eyes on me. I grabbed Will and dragged him behind me toward the beach. once I made sure we were out of listening distance I let Will go.

  " Annabeth is pregnant."

His eyes widened in shock, " What?"

"I don't think death is the only thing I can sense. This felt different, Will. It felt softer, almost sweeter. This wasn't someone dying, it was someone living."

He seemed to come back to his senses. I could almost see the gears in his head spinning a thousand miles an hour. I knew I made the right choice telling him about this, he'll know what to do.

  "Should we tell her?"

" I don't think so, at least not yet. She just lost Percy, and now she's going to be a single mother. She needs more time." At that, he nodded.

"I guess you're right." He still looked conflicted.

" I'll tell her, I promise. Just not now, Will."

" We still need to take extra for her though, she needs it."

I nodded, I couldn't argue with that. After making Will promise that he won't tell anyone, we went back to the Pavillion.

PERCY'S POV:                     !TW!

I had been in this cold, and damp cell for almost a week before a 15-foot cyclops came for me.

He sat me down in an old wooden chair before putting leather straps around my limbs to restrain me. The cyclops didn't say a word to me. He simply set to work. He bounded to the back where a table sat. The room smelled terrifyingly like blood, lots of blood.

The cyclops sauntered back over to me holding a pair of giant plyers that looked like they have never been washed. Looking at them, I started to get nervous. I knew he wasn't going to use them to fix a car. All week I've been hearing the screams coming from this room. The cyclops kneeled down and grabbed my hand roughly. He positioned the tool to the nail on my pointer finger.

"Please, don't. You..." At that moment he jerked his hand, pulling my nail with it. I let loose a scream. I thrashed against my restraints, the pain raising up my entire arm. He waited until my screams turned to small whimpers before doing the same on my middle finger.

Once the Cyclope had finished mutilating my entire hand he threw me back into my cell. I pushed myself against the far wall, cradling my hand to staunch the pain.

" Are you alright?" Deven came closer to the bars, making it easier for me to see him.

I didn't answer at first. I didn't want to focus on the uncontrollable shaking in my hand. Finally, I decided to distract myself instead.

"Di-did you know that I once ate a burger at medusa's lair?"

"Wait, what?" Deven let out a surprised laugh. "Seriously?"

"Yup. And when me and my friends killed her," I took a deep breath, trying to gather enough strength to tell the story." I sent her head to Olympus in a box."

At that point some of the people in the other cells scooted closer, trying to listen to me. So I started from the beginning, realizing this could a distraction for them as well. And in a place like this distractions are good. very good.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
