Normal?

Well where should I start from? From the very beginning I guess.

My name's Max. I am eighteen years old,I live at Greensdale and I attend Greensdale High. I stand at a height of 6'1. I love computers and mythology.

I'm pretty much a normal guy,at least that's what I thought. My family moved here just a few months ago.

Moving in I thought we were going to keep low profile until dad bought huge acres of land and built a six storey building with lots of rooms built into it. It was like he was expecting people. Strangely my mom didn't complain and well I pretty much got used to it and stopped complaining. I'm not an only child if you ask,I have a very annoying brother,a twin sister,and also twins who are girls.

I got enrolled into school with my siblings few weeks after we moved in and we fitted in just fine after some few weeks.

Everything was going quite normally until that night. Alot of people had moved in after some months and we became much of a family.

I came back from school one afternoon feeling quite sore around my joints. I felt itchy under my gums and I had a huge headache. I was going to go up to my room when my mum came in from the kitchen,"Hey,how was school today"?,she asked.

"Fine". I said turning to look her.

"My,you don't look so good. Are you okay"?,she asked quite worried.

"Yeah,mum I'm fine. Just a slight headache but I'll be fine once a take a short rest". I said walking upstairs.

"Okay hon,but tell me if it gets worse". She called out to me. I didn't bother answering and kept walking till I got to my room. I laid down on my bed and closed my eyes.

Immediately I'm in a forest,running but I don't see my hands. I run up to a stream and stare down at my reflection. What I saw nearly had me running,but it felt strange because as I moved it moved also. Then it hit me I was staring at my reflection and I was a huge wolf with deep crimson fur. Seeing myself I let out a loud howl.

I jerked awake and check my watch,it was 7:45,nearly dinner time. I put on a shirt and walk downstairs. I heard voices which I recongnized to be Mike,one the guys who lived with us and then my mom's.

"It's starting",she spoke in a whisper. What was starting? I leaned in closer to listen and then Mike's voice came,"How sure are you Melena"?

"He's been complaining about headaches Mike. Jax said he also complained about itchy gums. Ronan mentioned those as first signs of shift right"? Now I was sure of the topic they discussed------me. But what exactly was starting?

"Right",Mike's voice came again,"but for all we know Mel it could be just a simple sickness. Max hasn't been resting enough and you know it"!

"Mike",My mom stated firmly,"last time I checked werewolves don't get itchy gums. Mike are you trying to escape the reality of imposing danger this brings on us? Mike you have kids too,although they've showed no signs yet they are also in danger". This was really getting weird,my mum was speaking of werewolves, like they were real and the part about the itchy gums make it sound like I'm one (a werewolf). My headache came back with such force I felt like falling. Luckily I don't fall and kept myself in place.

"I am telling Lex about this"! She stated.

"Melena,there's something you need to know. It's not just Max,the kids,they all starting too".

My mom lets out a sigh,"I'm calling Lex now". And she walked back into the kitchen. Mike walked back to his room. We would be called for dinner soon,so I went back upstair to go over what I just heard.

I sat on my bed and pondered,if what Mike and my mum said was true then all my life I had been living was what I wasn't. Everything they had said explained the headaches,itchy gums and the dream. I decided not to question my parents until I saw how this turned out. And I hoped it turned out well. But hearing danger I knew it wouldn't----- not by a long shot.

A bell rang out. Dinner. I cooled myself down so as not to act suspiciously and  went downstairs. God help me.

Yeah,yeah I pretty much made the discovery fast.
Not that anyone of you expected it and the prologue quite contradicts the main chapters but it will fall into place. Promise.
