Alex growled and the Rogues shifted back. Why in God's name do they want me?
Max watch out! Lexi voice cried out in my head. I look round to see a brown wolf heading at me. I did a back flip and dodged his attack. I growled at him and shifted into my wolf.
I launched at him and a landed a bite on his back. With a growl he shoved me off him and slashed me with his paw. I let out a growl of pain and I heard Lexi give off one too. I turned round but noticed she was fine,she was feeling my pain. She gave me a knowing nod and continued attacking the other wolves.
I focused on the other brown wolf and let out deadly snarl. He seemed scared by it but didn't show it. He launched at me but I was quick enough and dodged and landed a bite in his paw and dragged him on the ground. He howled in pain and tried to pry himself free. I kept a hold him and wouldn't let him go. He finally passed out from struggling and from the blood loss and pain.
The taste of his blood on my mouth, caused my bones to crack as if I was shifting again.
'Drex'. I called out questionly.
Can't explain that.
A searing pain exploded throughout my body and I howled out in pain. One of the Rogues took it as an opportunity to attack and landed a bite on the left side of my stomach. Reacting to the bite, a bit his neck and he suddenly went limp. My first kill. I just killed somebody.
Snap out of it! It was bound to happen soon. You are a werewolf for Goddess's sake.
'What'. I asked in shock. 'Dad didn't say anything like that'.
Yeah you expect him to say... "kiddo, you are gonna start killing people"and you'd drink ice cream over it.
'Okay whatever! I'm over it. I just need to find an explanation why these guys are after me' I told Drex.
'Well you could keep one and torture him for answers.' Lexi's voice came.
Like seriously. Torture.
'Yeah! Just like in the movies' She replies sounding excited.
'No way! Let's just get out of here'. I bounded off the woods with Lexi in follow and the Rogues in pursuit. They were catching up and suddenly an idea came to me. Lexi must have had the same thought because she started howling the same time I did. This made the Rogues stop pursuit and turn in the other direction.
Breathing a sigh of relief,we continued to the mansion. The fence came into view and we shifted back to our human forms. We ran the rest of the way to the house on foot. Our parents weren't around and we were met by Mike.
"Where the hell have you been?". He asked worried.
"We are okay. We just got attacked by some Rogues and we escaped". I told him. I was going to add the part about them wanting me when Drex stopped me.
Might want to figure that out your self first.
'I agree'. Lexi added.
Mike looked at us for a while then spoke, "Alright,you two go change. Your parents went out to look for you guys. I will call them to let them know you guys are back". He turned and headed to the kitchen but stopped and turned toward us, "Are you sure that's all the Rogues did"?
Lexi answered, "Yes. Why"?
"Nothing",he shrugged, "it's just that Rogues wouldn't risk entering a packs territory except to attack or for something important than to attack two pack members".
"Maybe,they wanted to kidnap us and charge the Alpha for ransom". I answered quickly,trying to change the course of the subject. Mike shrugged and headed back to the kitchen.
Exchanging glances,Lexi and I headed upstairs. To figure out why they were after me. Things were actually going downhill.
