EXT. STREETS OF LONDON
Finn sprints around a corner and sees Professor Zundapp running toward docks along the Thames where a Combat ship waits. The captain of the vessel calls out, "Hurry, Professor!"
With Finn gaining fast, he pushes himself to run faster.
WHAP!
Suddenly, he's been tethered by Finn with tensile cables now attached to his back. Zundapp screams like a little girl. "Do you really think I'm going to let you float away, Professor?" Finn growls as he reels him in. Zundapp pumps his legs, caught. Suddenly Zundapp miraculously, inconceivably, gains traction. Now it's Finn's heels that are sliding.
On the Combat Ship, the Electromagnet has been turned outward and switched on, pulling Zundapp and Finn in with the magnetic force. Zundapp grins over his shoulder at the spy, revealing a metal chest plate. The captain pulls out a laser and targets it at Finn's head.
EXT. LONDON STREETS
Mater, still towing the Hudson girl, rockets around a corner and zips down another street. He glances at the back to see Ruby hooked on, "Ruby, let go!"
"Never!" She shouted back as they passed a Gremlin owner with a headset, "Down another side street." He spoke. Grem and Acer get this message and take off in the opposite direction.
EXT. DOCKS NEAR THE THAMES
Finn, heels sliding, loses more and more ground to the boat. Zundapp, the "rope" in this tug-of-war, buckles under the tension. "Give it up, McMissile!" He growls. The spy releases a mess of bullets, grenades, and other weaponry into the air, but the magnet sucks it in quickly like a black hole.
THUNK!
It all sticks to the magnet right next to Finn's bullets. There're bombs, grenades, rockets, and one little detonator with a flashing, beeping light. Finn releases more detonators onto the magnet, making the captain double-take at what he sees.
ANOTHER PART OF LONDON, AT STREET LEVEL
KA-BOOOOOOM!
A distant explosion miles away festoons into the air, visible over the rooftops. Holley flies to see Mater and McQueen speed up the street. She heads to the driver's window of the truck, "Mater, stop!"
"No way! You could get hurt!" Mater shouts. Holley looks over, and catches a glimpse of Grem and Acer bearing down on them from a side street. They're going to broadside Mater and McQueen.
"Oh no." She murmured.
Mater and McQueen are not aware of the impending impact. Holley drops from the sky, hits the pavement, and skids into the path of the thugs, deflecting them. They flip over Holley, Mater, and McQueen and sail into a pub, where they skid across the room and slam into the bar, knocking a row of beer mugs to the ground. They stood up and locked eyes with angry patrons. Moments later, Grem and Acer are pulverized by the bar patrons.
EXT. LONDON STREET
Holley, McQueen, and Mater have now stopped. The racer jumps out of the car and removes her helmet. Mater jumps out of the truck and stares at her for a long moment. "Mater, we've got to get that bomb off you." Holley spoke, already scanning the bomb, working away.
"Bomb?" Ruby questions in her normal voice, standing next to Mater. The tow truck driver sighs and turns his head to Ruby, "Yeah, they strapped it to me to kill you as a back-up plan."
"Back-up plan? Mater, who put a bomb on you?" She freaks out.
"Ahhhhh!"
Professor Zundapp suddenly tumbles to a stop next to a now totally freaked McQueen, entangled in grappling hooks care of Finn, who has him leashed.
"You. Why didn't my death ray kill you?" The tied-up man snarls. Ruby freaks even more, "Death ray?" Mater steps between her and the Professor in case the crazed man try anything to harm her. Finn yanks the Professor back, "Turn off the bomb, Zundapp!"
"Are you all so dense? It's voice-activated. Everything is voice-activated these days." The Professor answered. Mater glances at the bomb, "Deactivate! Deactivate!"
:Voice denied.:
The bomb suddenly becomes a time bomb, now complete with a countdown mechanism from 4:59... 4:58... Mater gasps. Professor Zundap chuckles, "Oops. Did I forget to mention that it can only be disarmed by the one who activated it?"
Holley immediately shoves a gun in Zundapp's face, "Say it!"
"Deactivate."
:Voice denied.:
The bomb's timer loses a full minute and goes from 4:48 to 3:48 to 3:47... Mater gasps again. Ruby grabs his arm in fear. The Professor grins, "I am not the one who activated it. Would anyone else like to try?"
ZZZZZZATTT!
Holley shocks him unconscious, and Finn turns to her with a grin, "You read my mind." Holley huffed in annoyance, "He was getting on my nerves." Ruby gazes at the two spies, "What do we do?" She asked.
"It's very simple." Victor Hugo blocks the entrance to a side street. His Hugo relatives surround him. "You blow up." The four roads surrounding them are now blocked by each of the Lemonheads and their families.
Changing her voice back to Lightning, Ruby faces Mater, "I'm gonna go out on a limb here. These are the guys that want me dead, correct?"
"It's nothing personal." Vladimir Trunkov shrugged.
"Fellers, listen." Mater spoke, catching their attention, "I know what you're going through. Everybody's been laughing at me my whole life too." McQueen turns to Mater, surprised; he wasn't expecting that. The Lemons all eye each other, considering Mater's words.
"--- but becoming powerful and rich beyond your wildest dreams ain't gonna make you feel better." Mater finished. Ruby lightly smiles at her boyfriend and gently squeezes his arm.
J. Curby Gremlin laughs, "Yeah, but it's worth a shot."
WHOOM!!!
J. Curby is instantly broadsided by a blast of water, flinging him against the wall. The Lemons, Holley, Finn, Mater, and Ruby glance to the side to see Red sitting outside an underground entrance, followed by Sally and the rest of the Radiator Springs gang. An all-out war ensues between the Lemons and Radiator Springs, along with Finn and Holley.
Finn attaches his four-way cable hooks to the thugs and springs high in the air, crushing the four of them together. Holley sprouts her wings and knocks out two thugs on her side.
Guido pulls some of the thugs' weapons off with his air gun. In seconds he has a stack of metals and lugnuts next to him, "Pit stop." The two Pacers' weapons all fall apart. Flo hits Vladimir Trunkov with her mirror, blinding him and the Sheriff cuffs him, "Not today, boys!" Guido pushes away his weaponless thug, yelling at him in Italian.
A thug charges at Ruby, but Mater karate chops three and four of the thugs at a time. Making sure that none of them touched her. A thug tries to go around Mater but is suddenly stopped by Doc Hudson, who punches him square in the face. Ruby grins as she watches her father and boyfriend protect her.
The thugs stepped back as the Radiator Springs gang, Finn, and Holley glared at them, "Retreat!" Tubbs Pacer yells in fright. A few Lemon owners turn back the way they came, but blocking their path is a line of British Military soldiers clad in digital camo, led by Sarge.
"Thanks for the help, Corporal." Sarge thanked, his pistol aimed at the thugs.
"Anything for one of pop's mates." The British Corporal spoke.
