Rowan couldn't move. He was so tired. Kordi, Zander, and Naare talked inside the cockpit of the Star Scavenger 2, discussing what to do next.
"He can't find more crystals, he's burnt out," Kordi said.
"Then what are we supposed to do to make him feel better?" Naare said impatiently.
Nobody responded. Kordi and Zander looked at Rowan, still lying on the floor of the hangar bay. Zander sighed. He couldn't think of anything. It was then that his left hand strayed to his blaster holster. Zander felt a lightbulb go off in his head. "Guys! I've got it!"
Naare and Kordi turned to Zander almost instantly.
"I just got a new weapon, right? I was happy about it, right?" Zander smiled, trying to get Kordi and Naare to catch on.
"Uh, yes? But what does that have to do with anything?" Kordi tilted her head.
Zander slapped his forehead. "What I was trying to say is that we should get Rowan a new lightsaber because he's been using Naare's old one and that probably would make him happier because to be honest, I wouldn't want to use Naare's lightsaber for my entire Jedi career if I was in Rowan's situation either."
Kordi's eyes lit up. "Zander, you're a genius! A rambling genius! That's perfect!"
"OH YEAH! ZANDER FREEMAKER, SUPER-STAR GENIUS GUY!" Zander said.
Kordi cringed at Zander's awful catchphrase.
"You two don't understand. Making a lightsaber is a complicated practice, one that Rowan will certainly need guidance for." Naare explained.
"Well, that's okay. Because we've got someone who's made a lightsaber twice! Speaking of which, how did you make a blue one if you're super evil and stuff...UNLESS-" Zander said when Naare gave him a glare that could pierce through even Beskar Iron.
Naare then softened her glare. "I can guide Rowan on the right path, however, there are things he needs to do on his own."
Kordi and Zander looked at each other and nodded. "He can do it."
When Rowan awoke, Roger stood over him with a cup in his hand.
"Good Morning, Rowan! I made you some Green Tea with lots of caffeine to get you going!" He said.Rowan sat up carefully. "Oh, wow. Thanks, Roger."
Roger handed him the cup. Rowan looked into the cup, slightly suspicious, but he took a sip anyway. Rowan was pretty sure he was just really thirsty and energy-deprived, but the tea was amazing. Roger also had to have put as much caffeine into it as he claimed, because Rowan felt at that moment like he could take on whatever was thrown at him. He ran to the cockpit enthusiastically. When he arrived there, he stopped dead in his tracks. He saw a light blue planet, with accents of white and purple.
"Where are we?" He said out loud.
Naare, Kordi, and Zander turned around in surprise.
"Ilum. It is on this planet that Jedi younglings get their kyber crystals to make new lightsabers." Naare stared at the planet.
"Wait-but why are we going here?" Rowan asked. "We aren't robbing a temple for kyber crystals, are we?!"
"No, no. We are going to get you a new lightsaber." Kordi said, calming Rowan down for a few seconds before the excitement took over.
"What! Really?""Yep!" Zander sat patting him on the shoulder with one hand as he piloted the Star Scavenger 2 with the other.
Rowan looked on excitedly. Kordi smiled and nodded at Zander. Their plan had worked. For now...
