Rowan Freemaker hugged his family tightly. After all of their adventures, it was finally time. Zander was to return to his station as a mechanic/pilot, Kordi was to return to her station on the Council of the New Republic, Roger was to return to his cafe, Rowan to continue his Jedi training, and Naare was to find a new path. Naare had told the Freemakers about the deal she made with Graballa, but the Freemakers refused to let her go through with it. And so, they bargained with Graballa to give Naare one more day and they spent that day using the technology of the New Republic to make a realistic copy of Naare frozen in carbonite. A few hours before Rowan had to leave for his Jedi Training, they gave Graballa the copy of Naare frozen in carbonite and told Graballa they decided to do it for him. As stupid as Graballa was, he fell for it. Leaving the real Naare on Chandrila. With all of the people he cared about safe, Rowan had finally come to terms with the fact that this would be goodbye, and accepted it, as had Kordi, Zander, Naare, and Roger.

"I'm going to miss you so much," Kordi said.

"Me too!" Roger said. "If I was able to cry then I'd be crying right now."

"It's okay Roger, I'll cry for you," Zander said as waterfalls fell from his eyes.

"I'm gonna miss you guys more. But hey, at least all of you will be able to be together." Rowan smiled as he cried with Zander.

Naare had refused to join the hug, but everyone could tell she wanted to. So, Zander grabbed Naare's arm and pulled her into the embrace.

"I hate you all..." Naare as she wiped a small tear from her eyes.

"GUYS! NAARE IS CRYING!" Roger said, announcing it to everyone.

"SHUT UP!" Naare said as the Freemakers stopped hugging.

"You are totally going to miss us." Zander elbowed Naare, teasing her.

"NO, I WON'T!" Naare exclaimed.

"C'mon, just admit it, Naare," Kordi said, rolling her eyes.

"Fine. I will miss you guys." Naare said, mumbling.

"What was that?" Zander said.

"I SAID I WILL!" Naare exclaimed as she turned away from the Freemakers.

Rowan chuckled as he turned to his siblings. Kordi, Zander, Roger, and Rowan hugged one last time as Rowan picked up his backpack and waved goodbye. As he walked, Rowan's new lightsaber dangled from his belt. Unlike his old saber, it was green. It was a goodbye gift from his siblings. Rowan walked over to Luke as he wiped the tears from his eyes.

"I'm ready, let's go," Rowan said, nodding to Luke.

Rowan moved towards Luke's X-Wing when Luke stepped in front of him.
"You know, Rowan, I've been thinking..." Luke began. "Maybe you should stay."

"If you're looking into my mind, then know that I can deal with it. I know you need me for your new Jedi Order." Rowan said.

"I think you've achieved everything you can with me. And I think that there are some people that need you more than I do. And plus, I think after everything you've done to help people, the Jedi code can make a few exceptions." Luke glanced behind Rowan at Kordi, Zander, Roger, and Naare. "What do you say?"

"What do I say?" Rowan didn't need to think of an answer. "YES! Thank you, Master Luke!"

Rowan dropped his bag as he sprinted back to his siblings. Kordi and Zander saw Rowan running back to them.
"Did you forget something?" Kordi asked.

"No, I'm not going!" Rowan exclaimed as he hugged his siblings for the third time.

"WHAT!" Zander's jaw dropped.

Hearing Rowan, Naare walked back over. "Isn't your dream to train with Skywalker?"

"Not anymore. Luke said I could stay. He says that you guys need me more than he does." Rowan explained.

"He's right about that." Kordi chuckled.
"Yeah." Zander nodded, laughing too.

"I'm very confused," Roger said.

Smiling, Rowan grabbed Roger and Naare and hugged them too.
"Okay, okay. Too much hugging. Let go." Naare said as she pulled away.

It looked like Kordi was right. Rowan was wrong to worry about the future. He was able to stay with his family and continue on his Jedi path. Everything turned out just fine, and he was confident things would stay that way. Because after all of their adventures, what's the worst that could happen?

Naare stared at the kyber saber.

"I need you to destroy it. I don't care how just please do it." Rowan said as he handed it to her.

"Do you really trust me?" Naare reached for the kyber saber.

"Yes," Rowan said as Naare took it from him.

Cat stared at the saber and then looked at Naare questioningly. As Naare hopped into the newly fixed Eclipse Fighter, she carefully placed the kyber saber in the compartment of her ship. Was she going to use the kyber saber for evil? No. But was she going to destroy it? Absolutely not. Naare didn't necessarily want to take advantage of Rowan's trust, but there was no way she'd destroy such a useful weapon. After all, every single time it was destroyed, Rowan had needed to use it again. So for better, or for worse, she was going to hide the saber instead of destroying it. Rowan would never know, and even if he found out, then she would have a decent explanation. Naare landed her ship on Coruscant, outside of the old Jedi Temple. She walked up the front steps until she found herself exactly where the girl who had saved her had died. Mila. Naare had taken the time to go through the archives the New Republic had access to, when she finally discovered the name of the padawan who saved her. The hiding place she intended for the kyber saber was going to be where Mila had died. Naare used her blue lightsaber to make a hole in the stairs. She then carefully placed the kyber saber inside the hole.

"Thank you, Mila." Naare whispered as she levitated the carpet back into place, covering the hole.

Naare walked away from the temple. It was then that she left both the kyber saber and her past behind as she hopped into her ship, and jumped to hyperspace.

Durpin awoke and found himself face-planted in the sand. He sat up and looked around.

"Plumestriker?" He scanned the terrain, looking for his companion.

Suddenly, a ginger head emerged from the sand next to him. Spitting out grains of sand, an annoyed Plumestriker was embraced by Durpin.

"I thought you actually died for a second there, Plumestriker!" Durpin exclaimed.

"ARRGHHH!" Plumestriker yelled. "WE OUGHT TO STAY AWAY FROM THOSE PSYCHOPATHIC FREEMAKER KIDS!"

"THAT'S WHAT I SAID FROM THE BEGINNING!" Durpin exclaimed.

"WELL, I BET IF YOU LISTENED TO ME, WE WOULD STILL BE SERVING THE EMPIRE TO THIS DAY!"

"SO NOW YOU'RE BLAMING THE FALL OF THE EMPIRE ON ME, REAL BOLD MOVE, PLUMESTRIKER!"

And so, Durpin and Plumestriker continued arguing, when Durpin sighed.

"Plumestriker, I forgive you."

"What?" Plumestriker narrowed his eyes.

"I forgive you for not listening to me," Durpin said.

Plumestriker slapped his forehead as Durpin spoke again. "Do you forgive me?"

"Sure, Sir, Sure I do." Plumestriker sighed.

Durpin and Plumestriker stood up and dramatically stared off at the sunset.

"Okay, but what are we supposed to do now?" Plumestriker asked.

"I have no idea." Durpin smiled as he continued staring at the sunset.
