Kordi and Zander weren't sure how to comfort Rowan. They would tell him that it's not his fault, but Rowan wouldn't believe them. They wanted to say, hey, at least we're all back together again, but that wouldn't help either. All Kordi and Zander knew was that they needed to try. Kordi looked at Naare, who was petting Cat. When Naare met Kordi's gaze she knew what Kordi wanted her to do. She got up and walked over to Rowan with Kordi and Zander trailing behind. Rowan laid in his bunk. He thought that if maybe he tried to go to sleep, he'd wake up the next morning and find out it was all a bad dream. This mission, Samael, the kyber saber. Naare sat down next to Rowan's bunk silently.
"It's my fault, Naare. Kordi warned me. I didn't listen..." Rowan sighed.
"You're right, Rowan. It is your fault. So fix it." Naare replied.Rowan sat up in surprise at Naare's response.
"Naare! Rowan, it's not your fault." Kordi said, rushing to Rowan's side.
"We don't have to go to Jakku. Just take as much time as you need, and then we can fight Samael." Zander continued for Kordi.
Rowan stood up. "No, Naare is right. I have to fix this. But I can't do it alone, not this time."
"Yep, thought you would say that." Zander sighed. "ROGER!"
"WHAT?" Roger yelled from the cockpit.
"Set course for Jakku." Zander said.
Kordi turned to Rowan one last time. "Are you sure?"
Rowan nodded. "Yeah, I am."
Samael climbed out of his tie-advanced, which had gotten when he gave the Night Buzzard back to an annoyed Ren. He stared at the crashed Star Destroyer in front of him. He took a few steps forward and onto the desert of Jakku. He gripped the kyber saber in his fist tightly, as if someone were going to take it away from him. Samael had no doubt that Rowan would show, and his friends along with him. As for the Emperor, Samael hadn't told him about the kyber saber, and he didn't plan to. He didn't want to inform the Emperor about the kyber saber because he wanted the kyber saber for himself, right? No. That wasn't it. Samael couldn't figure it out why. Why wouldn't he tell the Emperor? Snapping back to reality, Samael remembered that he had a job to do. He flung his arm outwards, using the force to pick up the Star Destroyer and all of its pieces. Samael pictured the clear image of what it once looked like and carefully put it back together. Then, he placed it down onto the sand. The ship was enormous to Samael, even when it wasn't in the air. He smiled and then went to fix another one when he stopped himself. Maybe this isn't a good idea, a voice in the back of Samael's head said. Let's be honest, the Emperor will probably abandon you no matter what, and you KNOW this is wrong. You're just so desperate for someone to give you attention, The voice echoed. Samael rubbed his head. Was someone somehow getting into his brain? This voice couldn't possibly be his own. He shrugged it off and began fixing the next destroyer.
"Okay, so, we need a plan this time," Zander said, slamming his fist onto the table that the Freemakers had set up in the hangar bay.
"Agreed," Kordi said, placing a piece of paper down on the table.
"I'm not sure what there is that we can do. As far as we all know, there are no weaknesses to the kyber saber." Naare said.
"Except for my connection, there isn't, but we can't use that," Rowan said, sighing.
"Before I forget again, there's something I should tell you guys," Kordi said, taking a deep breath.
"What?" Roger asked, leaning in closer with Cat on his shoulder.
